They do flow with the hood, im just not a fan of that style vent. I think Fly1Motorsports has a hood coming out with this kind of vent style. It looks pretty sick. You can see it kind of on the last page. http://www.the370z.com/body-interior...fenders-4.html

Go For the vents I always get people saying "where you get that hood?" And not a lot of people have seen it.

Do you use your car every day? Have someone local modify your stock hood like CS did to theirs.

now the bad news... my z enclosure will not fit due to the bars :( so it looks like imma sell it... DOHHH!!!! now the head ache begins... imma make a FG enclosure to house a 12 woofer in between the seats behind them and also to hold 2 rear 6 1/2's  problem is... i havent done this in a loonnnggg time....

Bars > sub enclosure all day!

edit* also on the bar mounts... imma make them red :bowrofl: i was fighting it but after seeing it in the morning... i want it red LOL.... the bronze is nice but red is tits |
so i went pretty hard on my panels today....
http://sphotos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphoto...34902802_n.jpg this probably had to be the most difficult mod ive done on my z.... Not to mention how much time it chewed... took me about 5 hours to carefully dremel the crap outa the panels... i didnt finish the seat belt bars yet... gotta reshoot the mounts again because when i test fitted and would trim more outa the panel they got scuffed up pretty good.... :shakes head: http://sphotos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphoto...54239446_n.jpg  tomoro im hoping the seat belt bars are easier to slot.... i honestly cringed when i took a 4'' hole saw into the panel lol on a side note... i wouldnt recommend this mod to anyone who wants to keep the interior panels... it is a pain in the as$ to modify the panels |
also.... dont mix beers with this mod.... i had a couple because at one point i felt like smashing the f*cking panels LOL..... after a while... it became even harder to tell if it was even with the other side :roflpuke2::roflpuke2:
|
^ LOL, it looks good though! Very racy.

update on the bars... i finished fitting the seat belt bars and cutting the panels for them to fit.... i woulda finished today but i got off work a lil late and started working on my car around 8pm.... :( two more days i think and ill post some finished photos ;) |
http://sphotos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphoto...33096012_n.jpg
here is a shot of the metallic gun metal i went with  |
so i finished all the trim and smoothing out of the panels last night.... i shot satin black on top of the towers because when you install the bars and panels you see the red peaking through and it really bothers me. ill finish the install later on today... gotta reshoot the mounts because of all the scratches i got from the cutting phase ill post lotsa pics when im done ;)
|
alright.... lol seems like no love for this brace :inoutroflpuke: anyways i finished everything tonight.... i would say the install went excellent... after i reshot everything and popped in the panels everything went in smooth as silk no rubbing or fitment issues due to the "cut" i went ahead and polished the bars with some mothers billet polish... ill post more pics tomoro when the sun is out so everyone can see them better.... as for the z box... well it dont fit at all.... it was pretty apparent even if i didnt try and put it back in with the bars in place. its gonna go to another z owner locally  he should be picking it up this weekend if he has the time.
http://sphotos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphoto...89059717_n.jpg now... if any of you guys ever ask if i would ever recommend this mod to anyone? its pretty simple HELL NO lol... well if you gut out the panels then go for it... but if your gonna keep your panels.... ill buy you a couple rounds bud your gonna need it. Not only was laying out the holes difficult enough, trimming the curvatures and notches was a complete PIA. NEXT MOD.... custom fiberglass enclosure.... its gonna have a 12 facing the front in between the seats JL W3 V3 and then ill have some nice JL 6 1/2's for the rear ill give myself 2-3 weeks to build this, since im working on my car only AFTER work and im a one man show this will be a interesting build for me... not to mention the last time i build a fiberglass box was in high school, |
I like it bro looks good. You really know how to add some creative taste to the car.

alright guys... so ive decided on my sound set up....
since JL is wayy over my budget i decided to go with this set up P3 shallow mount 2ohn DVC wired @ 1 ohm Rockford Fosgate P3SD212 (P3SD2-12) 12" Punch Stage 3 Subwoofer fed by this monster Rockford Fosgate R750-1D (R7501D) 750W Monoblock Class D Car Amplifier with these 6 1/2's in all four corners Rockford Fosgate Power T165 6-1/2" 2-Way T1 Coaxial Car Speakers fed by this Rockford Fosgate R600-4D (R6004D) 600W 4-Chan Class D Prime Amp and everything stabilized with this Rockford Fosgate RFC2D Hybrid 2.0 Farad Digital Stiffening so the sub will be right behind the seats, in a FG enclosure and then the amps and cap will be right in back of the rear strut bar  |
i give my self until jan to put and buy everything for the build keep your fingers and toes crossed
|
Damn jon your car just keeps getting better!
|
Great choice of stuff. Only thing I was wondering why not a component in the front with tweeters and a crossover
