whoops.

ilive2win 10-17-2011 12:06 PM

Really? I've been watching a lot of videos and that doesn't look like invidias. I guess I was wrong. Maybe it's just the tips that are different

now that i think about it, it might not be. perrin doesn't offer burnt tips. aaand...i might have to eat my words because invidia DOES have that. just their site is misleading.

rudy this thread will help you a lot: Official 2011 STI Sedan Exhaust list! - Subaru Impreza WRX STI Forums: IWSTI.com

(is thi against forum rules to post up other places? lol)

It does look like the invidia with the ti/tip option. That one "looks" the best. Thinking about doing the ewg as well like I did on the evo. It has to be loud lol

Thank you for your help

It looks like either Invidia or Perrin. Likely Invidia...hard to tell in the second picture...where the pipes join under the car, there should be a plate that says "Invidia" on it, but the pic is a bit dark, so can't tell for certain. I've got the Invidia on order.

If you zoom in (on a iPhone or whatever) you can kind of make out the invidia plaque in the center. It's hard to see but it's there. So you guys were right and that's a nice exhaust your getting. Did you get it with the ti tips?

phelan 10-17-2011 12:39 PM

i think next year i might splurge my bonus and get the greddy exhaust :rofl2:

Yes I did...I decided to take a chance on the Ti tips. Kind of ricey, but might go well with world rally blue. Invidia Q300 for the sedan is different in design than for the sedan. There might not be enough room for two longitudinally placed resonators, so it/they are positioned transversely.

Yup , I just heard the invidia q300 with invidia dp and gt spec headers and it sounds amazing. Thinking that will be the setup I go with exhaust wise

Invidia sounds really good, but it's loud!

That's what I want. Loud but sound really good. I miss how loud the evo was

you're going to suddenly discover how much you enjoy torque.

Tuned four cylinder, turbo motors make torque nowadays. He could easily make the STI as fast as the Z...however, that's not excuse for selling the Z ;)

djpathfinder 10-17-2011 07:45 PM

As it is, the stock STi is a little slower than my modded Z. With the DP, CBE and Cobb AP, it'll beat my Z for sure, sadly. :shakes head:
