haha, that would be so funny. there is a white hatch here i can get but i just wanted a base base sti with no package since everything is going to come off anyways. the hatch is 2k more than the sedan

Your going to sell it faster stock... Just saying. Or sell it back to nissan stock or carmax, then go buy your STI that is really the only way it's going to move quickly.

The hatch is nice, but the sedan is nicer! :tup: Hope you find the sedan you want. The wife and I just picked up ours last week, after waiting a month for it to come in.

^^ now I drove both the sedan and hatch and it felt like the hatch drove differently than the sedan. Is that true or is it just me being weird. Also if I post up a pic of an exhaust for the gvb would you be able to tell me what manufacturer it's from? I've been searching but I don't know who makes it but I want it

can't say about the STi, but the hatch feels different on the WRX trim level.

i can look at the exhaust and probably tell...unless it's one of those nameless sports ones, or an ebay exhaust lol.

kind of annoying the sedan and hatch have different exhaust options :facepalm:

Not certain if there's any difference in wheelbase between hatch and sedan. There's negligible difference in weight, if I remember correctly. As for seating and interior dimensions, there's no difference between the two in the (front and rear) passenger compartment. The sedan is about 6" longer in total, as the back end is a little longer compared to the hatch.

It looks like either Invidia or Perrin. Likely Invidia...hard to tell in the second picture...where the pipes join under the car, there should be a plate that says "Invidia" on it, but the pic is a bit dark, so can't tell for certain. I've got the Invidia on order.

Hmm, looks like the Invidia Q300. I personally like the HKS one best.

It does look like the invidia with the ti/tip option. That one "looks" the best. Thinking about doing the ewg as well like I did on the evo. It has to be loud lol

If you zoom in (on a iPhone or whatever) you can kind of make out the invidia plaque in the center. It's hard to see but it's there. So you guys were right and that's a nice exhaust your getting. Did you get it with the ti tips?

Yes I did...I decided to take a chance on the Ti tips. Kind of ricey, but might go well with world rally blue. Invidia Q300 for the sedan is different in design than for the sedan. There might not be enough room for two longitudinally placed resonators, so it/they are positioned transversely.

Yup , I just heard the invidia q300 with invidia dp and gt spec headers and it sounds amazing. Thinking that will be the setup I go with exhaust wise

you're going to suddenly discover how much you enjoy torque.

Tuned four cylinder, turbo motors make torque nowadays. He could easily make the STI as fast as the Z...however, that's not excuse for selling the Z ;)

As it is, the stock STi is a little slower than my modded Z. With the DP, CBE and Cobb AP, it'll beat my Z for sure, sadly. :shakes head:

I'm probably going with invidias full exhaust, kw coils and a set of sa55m's but what intake should I go with and who can do a pro tune in so cal?

Are you looking at 18" or 19"? SA55M are nice. So are SA60M

Do the sa60m's come in black/red or did they stop those too?

Gvb is the chassis code for the sedan. Grb is the hatch 08+

What were you unhappy with with 19" and the Evo?

Oh, I thought the STi sedan was still a "GR" body...I'm behind the times.
