Officially kicked off the next big mod for Project_illuZion. Purchased UAS bags and brackets for the current BC Coilovers.
Working out all the pricing with AccuAir for their Stage 2 E-Level kit. Aside from ordering, car shows, arrival and install time...I am anticipating completion to be early to mid-July. |
Awesome!
Sent from my Android 'cause I'm too lazy to open the computer. |
I placed at another car show this afternoon, winner of Best Custom Work :)
|
I'd like to give a special thanks and shoutout to AccuAir for the gracious sponsorship opportunity! Can't wait to have the E Level installed very shortly!
|
Congrats on the sponsorship can't wait to see her bagged out.
|
Now thats mean looking!
|
Mr&Mrs, I am really stoked to get it done. Hopefully have time to make it to the #top100 or VIP section at StanceWars July 5th and it will for sure be finished by HIN Seattle.
Frank@ModBargains, she is quite mean looking. Thank-you for the compliment! |
The rush is on! Going to place the order for the E Level today and hopefully (fingers crossed) have it by the end of next week. That gives me one whole week to get the install done prior to ForumFest and more than enough time for StanceWars!
So ready to take Project Illuzion to the next level, literally! |
dammn nice they gave me a 2 week wait time when I ordered because they were behind on order and products,
|
I got lucky and they wanted to help me out and had all that I needed. Sealed the deal a few minutes ago and it will be here next Friday the 20th. Install is going down the 21st. Almost crunch time!
|

|
looks like exactly what I got haha
|
CarbonFZ, I'm sure it basically is. It's the recommended setup from Accuair. Sure I thought about a single compressor for now, but decided I might as well do it all at once!
|
I'm in the running for fan Favorite at ForumFest 2014. If you use Facebook, click the link and like the photo to give me a vote. Big thanks peeps!
You must actually click and like the photo, please don't like the fact that I shared the post, lol. It won't count! https://m.facebook.com/story.php?sto...4&id=592395143 |
Tomorrow starts the big AccuAir install. Received delivery confirmation for tomorrow(huge kudos to AccuAir on getting everything ready to go, just like I was told). Start pulling everything apart and install on Saturday!
Also, got the CF duckbill comin from AeroJacket and I am hoping that it shows up in time for a quick install before ForumFest and StanceWars! |
Well, it is mostly done. I have an issue to fix with the bag 3 sensor (Driver's rear) and an air leak on the same bag.
Hopefully a swap of the air hose and a minor adjustment to the sensor will get me on the road. Scariest ride of my life last night with a failed rear sensor and air leak, mid trip on a 2 hour drive. BTW, losing air pressure and scraping something under the car at 70MPH will really scare the living hell out of you. The worst part was the guy I showered with sparks that swerved and almost lost control of his car. I felt like the ultimate douchebag :( |
still scratching my head on this.
I went through all of the wiring and fuses last night. Replaced the three fuses, redid my grounds, and ran the 12v orange igntion wire straight to the positive battery terminal to insure I was getting the 12 volts. Sent pictures to AccuAir and the tech said that everything looks proper. Controller still illuminates white and then flashes ten times rapidly, before shutting off. This normally means there is a problem with the 12v ignition wire or the USB wire/harness for the controller. I have the USB and a new relay being overnighted to me. I will say that accuair has got the best customer service and tech support around. They always answer every time I call and always respond to emails fast. Hoping to get this resolved tomorrow night at the latest. I am in a big time crunch :/ Tonight, I am also going to try disconnecting one compressor at a time and trying one at a time to see if I can get a reaction out of it. I don't think this will solve anything though, but it is worth a shot. |
Great news!!!!! Change my ground locations and got it running. I have some leaks though and lose air on all four corners in about 21 minutes. That issue will be addressed tomorrow!
Boom! |
Here is some documentation of the Accuair install via Iphone pics. Shows a lot of the work that is involved and a great way to get everything installed. The album does run in reverse though, so start at the end and work back to the beginning!

Yesterday, I won NWMOTIV Fan Favorite at ForumFest 2014. I'll have some new pictures up soon and have StanceWars Top100 coming this week!
Hopefully my new CF duckbill will be here in time! |
|
Great stuff  Love the colors
|
wowwwwwww this **** is sick man!!!!
|
I am extremely pleased with how my build has gone. There is very little I would change about it. Though I am nearing an end to it, in the big build up for boost this winter :)
|
car looks great man....the ONLY thing I would suggest is spraying all the mesh black instead of that silver, it just doesnt match all the awesomeness of your car.
|
I originally had plans to plastidip all of the vents, but I went over the car and it accents the exhaust and valve stem covers. It's still on a list of "things to do" but I have been so busy lately with shows and other mods, that it has been pushed to the side. New wheels will be coming in late summer and I am still undecided on a color. The silver mesh, may work with another set of wheels depending on the finish.
I do appreciate the critique! |
Here are some great shots taken at StanceWars from various photographers. This event had 3,000 some spectators checking out the Top 100 cars selected for the event. Enjoy!

oh my god...the redhead
I think I'm in love. |
^ get in line
|
There is a long line on that particular red head!
|
Took some time today to install some 15mm Ichiba V2 spacers. Setting the rear fitment at 19x11+0 on a slightly stretched 275. The fitment is delicious.
I also blew my OEM sport spoiler into about 10 different pieces during the removal. Holy ****...Nissan did not want that thing to come off for any reason. |
Finally got the duckbill installed Friday evening. Fitment is on point! It took hours to clean off the 3m adhesive Nissan installs the oem spoiler with. I was slightly sketched out drilling into the rear hatch though. Took me some major warming up to do.
I'd rate the difficulty level at about a 5/10. Tools used: Heat gun goo gone Stepped drill bit/hole widener 11mm deep socket 10mm deep socket Socket wrench Long extension I did not use any 3m on the new duckbill. I will be removing it again to put some 3m tape down. |
It's been an extremely busy month with car shows and events. July is pretty much packed each weekend.
Had the pleasure of doing StanceWars, Froever Powdercoating's Cruise in, and Fatlace Offset Kings. This weekend is no different with HIN Seattle and a car show dedicated to the Kids of the Seattle Children's Hospital. With that being said, I've got my work cut out for me to get the car ready. I've got some goods in route and some others that have been sitting around and I have yet to have time to install. -ProSplitters for Amuse side skirts -GT-R Map lenses -reposition from E Level Sensors -Underglow kit (not excited or wanted lol) Things on the way -Zspec 260+ piece dress up kit in red -Z1 Motorsports hood struts Then I have to figure out a way to make the Z cleaner than it's ever been. I've also been doing some seat shopping. After toying around with the idea of an aftermarket steering wheel and quick disconnect hub, I changed my mind. I don't want to have to relocate the cruise control switch for future use. I am currently shopping Bride and Status seats. The decision is tough. I want something that really stands out, but also love the subtle and simple look of black. |
I was debating an aftermarket steering wheel as well. I asked on vq|nation what people's thoughts were on the benefits since it seems like you will lose cruise control functionality and toggling through maps if you wire it that way.
This seemed like an option to go with the aftermarket steering wheel: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...1279117&type=1 |
Had an amazing weekend!
Kicked it off with Hot Import Nights Seattle. Took home Hottest Nissan 2nd place (beaten by a $300k Liberty Walk GTR). Followed by a children's charity car show for the Seattle Children's Hospital. I was awarded Best Exterior! Pictures to follow :) |
|
With show season winding down, I ordered the seibon CF A pillars to hopefully finish the car off for a bit. I also got a stillen roof spoiler from a friend. I like the look of it, but am debating what to do with it. Since I am slowly going all CF, it seems silly to waste the money having it painted magnetic black. I may temporarily have it wrapped in vinyl to keep the cost down.
|
Nice build. I like what you did.
As for the red head, she needs better shoes. |
