If you don't mind can you take some pics how you prepped and paint the markers and emblems? I'm thinking to do this but have no clues how to do it.

I dont know why you guys spend time removing the emblems. Use black plastidip and clear glossifier if you want them glossy. Its time consuming to have to remove them, prep them, paint them, install them with new adhesive..

Good luck though, your build is great!

Z brah, it's simple. I cleaned them with soap and water and let them air dry. I used painters tape on the emblem and used an exact knife I cut out around the Z logo and silver circular trim. Then I took two cardboard boxes and cut squares into it for the marker to sit in.

Then just painted on a few coats and let it dry. Then in a bit hitting it with a satin clear coat to finish it off.

Thanks, man!

I have just never been a fan of plastidip and refuse to put it on my car lol. Plus I enjoy taking a little bit longer to prep for paint.

No need to to sand down the chrome emblem? and what kind of paint and glossifer are you using?

As for the front emblems I am starting them tomorrow. Those probably will require some scuffing since they have the fake chrome on them.

I am using Rust-Oleum paint for plastic in satin black.

The clear I chose is SEM Color Coat flexible coating in satin gloss clear.

All tuned and the results yielded 306WHP and 253FT/LBS Torque.

I was hoping for around 315-320 but am pleased with the results overall. The smooth throttle is amazing and the car no longer has lag in the low end. I had a blast driving the 2.5 hours home from Intec.

I'll post the dyno sheet tomorrow.

The wait is killing me on the F14s. It seems like forever ago since I ordered them(actual time...three weeks lol).

I have been in the market quite some time for a Carbon Fiber hood. I decided on the AeroJacket SS hood with hood splitters. I was given a lead time of 3 weeks. Something else I can look forward to in the near future!

You're attacking this build like a storm. Sorry you that Seibon hood didn't work out, I cant wait to see the new AJ hood installed.

Thanks, zbrah! That's my whole goal with it, I'd love to enter HIN Seattle next summer. I was really digging the TS hood for awhile but after 4 unsuccessful attempts to pick up a used one, I went with the AJ hood.

I'm really excited to get my wheels and hood here. Let's just say that install day is going to be quite awesome.

Next on the "planned" to buy list lol:

GTmat for the trunk
Aerojacket Amuse replica in CF
Aerojacket or Flymotorsports CF fenders.

I know you probably have your heart set on GTMat, but look at my build journal. I used a product called Peel & Seal from Home Depot. It was 16.99 for a 25 ft roll. 2 rolls lasted all my trunk and door panels..

I don't know how the sound deadening compares, but they products look virtually the same..

Thanks for the tip, Nickturnon. I will certainly give that product a look over and see if its worthwhile. If so, it will probably save some cash!
