Yes, it's allowed by law.. only for sport cars with no place to mount the front plate.... another reason they allow it because our speed cameras only takes picture of the back plate..

Just out of curiosity, can you link those LEDs you didn't end up using, just in case someone wants it in the future... (Potentially me) LOL

They've cut the wires and kept the LED on the old bumper. So little soldiering would fix it.. but I'm keeping the bumper.. in case of accident I can still use the factory parts until the body kit parts arrives. As you know i'm living on the other side of our spherical earth and it would take at least one month for the parts to arrive.

Default Losail Circuit ( Track day 19/9/2013 )

I wanted to share my experience at my first track day ever.
Location: Doha-Qatar
The track was open last friday for track day pleasure and i was in to try my z and see what are the weakness that should be strength.

Conculsion was,

a) the vossen are so damn heavy and sticky tire would help (ordering a semi-slick tire and wheel combo any suggestions? )
b) the brake would need an upgrade for sure as the pad turned into small pieces. i'm thinking of z1 upgrade kit any other suggestion?
c) the coilover was on the middle settings, lesson learned will stiff them up to max to help eliminate body roll.

Pictures from that glorsy day, if you are interested i did score 4th out of 7 @ 2:48 with max speed of 117 mph.

PS: Mind the ugly sticker on the front, i did that one to cover an accident which i'm so lazy to fix.

Thanks!!

As quick update to the latest news, just placed an order with Z1Motorsport

-lightweight 2 piece front rotors and z1 rear rotors all rotors are slotted and drilled. (Looking for a weight saving of 20lbs)
-SS Lines, Hawk Plus pads and Motul RB600 brake oil
-CSF Rad with Mitimoto thermostat

managed to buy 2 new Toyo R888 (265/35/18) locally for 370$$, a deal i can't refuse, would fit those at the front
Locally there is no way i can find semi-slick, as soon as Vividracing opens i will be placing an order for Enkei RPF01 9.5inch in the front and 10.5 in the back. Most probably will buy R888 295/35/18 for the back from TireRack.

Hopefully by these items above and KW V3 drop by 1 inch with stiffin the front and softin the back i can compete in the national sprint championship. Still awaiting for the e-tune from Jon @ Z1Motorsport.

Few pictures to share for the current setup.

Just installed the Carbon element t-steering with carbon fiber and black alcatra with orange stitching

will keep the thread up to date once i receive the remaining items
