Ok so I was the first I believe and maybe only to murder out the Black Cherry! So I am moving on and changing her up a bit. I will post pics from the ending point of how she looked to her transformation to Custom Blue. I decided to repaint the whole car because I am bored with murdered out look because every kid in a Honda has it. Also I am getting so much body work done they had to repaint damn near the whole car anyway sooooo that is my inspiration. Currently at the body shop and they will have it for about a month.

Matte or Gloss
 

So they are going to do a test panel for me to make sure I like the Carlisle Blue. I asked them to do a gloss and a Matte to compare! For some reason Carlisle Blue Matte has been in my mind. Matte or Gloss????

Also what color calipers would look best with the Carlisle Blue? look at the Corvette i posted if you are unsure of the color...

No the color is called Carlisle Blue (which is a silver with blue tint) but it came out on the 2012 Corvette...Thanks for the vote! :tiphat:

I'm sure this will look fantastic! I really like that rear bumper, I'm gonna get it too eventually when I'm bored with the stock look.

Anybody know where I can get some Datsun caliper decals???

If I coat them for you, I can make them, although sizing might be difficult on the front since the Datsun logo is bigger in the middle and the calipers are smaller than the middle.

Mike you gave me an A1 price on the calipers. I decided to color match to paint (Carlisle blue) and since they have my car 6 weeks already I am just ready to get it back. You do great work and I appreciate your feedback. :tiphat:

Shipped out headlights to get painted. I decided not to do the Halo's I can use that money to mount my Ark grip when its time. I am doing black chrome with color matched Shrouds! :happydance:

Sooo I am looking to save a little money because I want to buy some 20 inch rims. So I ordered the Carlisle Blue Paint and bought some high temp primer and high temp gloss and painted my calipers myself. I cant wait to see my car painted this color...

i'm just waiting for my Akebono stickers to come in the mail then I will do one more gloss over top of them...I saved $400 bucks I can put towards my wheel fund..:happydance:

I just dropped my Ark Grip off at the powder coater they are doing the high temp powder...I'm doing gloss black to match roof and Datsun emblems...

I get my powder coated gloss black Ark grip on Monday from the coater!!!! I am thinking I might sell Ark and get FI.... Which sound better with a stillen G3???

If you don't mind doing the drive sometime up to my house I can install it for you, and it would be a lot cheaper than a shop charging you to do it. :tup:


Which one sounds better is really more of opinion than proveable fact, but I have FI and I wouldn't trade it for the world. It sounds amazing, and I get compliments on it seriously about every day. The quality is better than any exhaust system I've ever seen, and Tony's customer service is top notch. He's a great guy. If you want to you can go on my build thread and watch some of the videos I've posted to get an idea of what it would sound like. You can't go wrong with FI :nutswinger:

The Z is looking pretty good so far, I'm anxious to see the finished product! Congrats bro!
