Maybe with the nismo factory, but nismo s-tune definately not, the pics don't lie.

You can also add the Nismo body braces, nismo brake pads, and nismo shifter.

I also added the berk high flow cats.

Were these all nismo parts too from the dealer? Part numbers???

Yes, you can get these Nismo parts from your dealership as well (maybe not the braces - depends on your dealership).

Here they are on eBay too:

Pads

Braces

Knob

Well I ordered the red/black Nismo engine cover on 7/13/09 and it finally came in today... Pics to follow after I find time to put it on...

Finally some pics... Sorry for the low quality as well...

It's either been very cold, snowing or raining since the parts came in allmost a month ago... I figured some pics are better than none...

Can't wait for spring!

Smallywood 03-12-2010 04:48 AM

I removed the Nismo emblem off the front bumper...

I changed the rear emblem to the factory Nismo Emblem...

I removed the bottom of the black inserts where foglamps would reside...

Pics to come...

Can't wait to see!

Lots of mods, all the nismo performance parts, berk high flow cats, etc... Was there a specific mod you were wondering about? I think I listed most of my mods in this thread.

kevin.z 03-14-2010 06:28 PM

just out of curiousity, why didn't you install the s-tune rear spoiler? is it because s-tune spoiler affects rear-view visiability? Or you thought it was ugly?

I just thought it was ugly. I think the sport spoiler compliments the body kit very nicely. That's one thing I like about forums is seeing all the different ways people mod their cars.

Nah, were both lucky to be driving a Z... There's plenty of time for you to mod your ride as well...

boltons + tune.
I wanted to compare if there is any difference between s-tune and base.
Performance wise.
As I see that nismo gets a 50 bump hp but still is equal to or slower than a base + sports z.

I have all the bolt ons. I plan to tune this summer as well.

Nismo only has 18hp more stock from exhaust and tune (not 50hp).

I think the S-Tune spoiler looks better than the sport one. That one is just too tiny and boring. But to each their own....IMO the Nismo S-Tune DOES compliment the body style more. Looks somewhat like a Porshe's profile. That I DO LIKE :) Which is why I got it haha. But tiny spoiler, big spoiler, or none...the 370z looks great regardless!

Oh oops I meant it has 350hp compared to our 332hp.
But I guess I know the answer to my question!

Ztoon 03-14-2010 08:30 PM

Am I missing something? Your parts list says CAI, but that looks like a short ram. Pulling air from same location as stock.

The Nismo CAIs are short ram (not long tube). And correct the stock air inlets are in the front of the location that the filters on the CAIs are located.

I agree. Everyone has their own taste and there is no wrong answer if you're modding your Z. I just think the Nismo spoilers mess up the body lines a bit. I do like the S-tune spoiler better than the OEM nismo spoiler, but not quite as well as the sport spoiler. I haven't ruled out putting on the S-tune spoiler down the road, and I do like the S-tune body kit better than the OEM nismo body kit. I've also heard that moving from sport to Nismo spoiler may be an issue with the holes where the sport spoiler mounts showing and thus causing repainting of the hatch. Any idea if this is the case?

IMO. Most sportscars look unfinished without a spoiler.

Z1 website says: Please note: 370Z models without the Aero Package's Rear Deck Spoiler will require holes to be drilled in the rear hatch. 370Z models fitted with the Aero Package's Rear Deck Spoiler will require existing holes to be filled and new holes to be drilled.

Z1 highly recommends that installation be done by a professional as painting and proper alignment of the wing are necessary.

I added the stillen underdrive pulley last week. Well worth the money..

Tuned as of yesterday, very happy with the results!

I have considered all options, I think it's best for the options out there right now. Not a big fan of large spoilers or without. Still considering the mines.

Reaper42 06-07-2010 07:16 PM

mines is just a small lip onto your already small spoiler, if your gunna go with stune, get the stune spoiler, or nismo spoiler from seibon, both are medium size.

Or sell that fugly s-tune kit and start over

Everyone has their own opinion, I think it looks best the way it is with the options out there. I'm more concerned with a stillen supercharger kit than changing a spoiler to please someone else on a forum.

Smallywood 06-14-2010 06:10 PM

After evaluating the Stillen and GTM supercharger kits, I think I will go with the GTM to keep the supercharger sound minimal and maintain the Nissan engine cover.

Well, it's been a busy summer with little time devoted to car projects. Had my car tuned and added the rear fog light, but that's about it. A couple of pics just as an update. Still need to decide on supercharge, turbo, or stay n/a... All good options imo.
