I have been trying to get that pulley from him for 2 years , I have the 92mm (11lb) on it now and have 516 @ the wheel.

Again he told me the SC would be spinning too fast and the life of the SC would be diminished

Well I don't want to do anything to endanger the motor or the blower which is why I'm asking for advice here. Anyone know?

Is 88 safe on 93 octane?

dont ask me then you know my answer will always be more power

I don't know if I want more than that tbh. How much of a difference would it make HP-wise?

You will probably get 450-475hp with the 92 maybe alittle more with a dialed in tune.

dmhenderson 06-25-2013 11:25 AM

"failed in tune"? What does that mean?

Why would I get 450-475 if you're running 516 with the same kit?

I meant dialed in this phone sucks!!!

B/c mine is a Nismo, I had the same set up on my 2010 sport/touring and I made 470 put the same kit on my Nismo 516

So I have a Nismo as well vOv
Also I don't know why the trim would matter. It's the same motor.

There is a debate if the Nismo has advanced VVEL tuning versus the basic coupe. Baer has shown there might be some truth to this debate.

Chuck33079 06-25-2013 11:34 AM

Wasn't part of the hp difference due to the fact the non-nismo was a 7at?

dmhenderson 06-25-2013 11:35 AM

I'm gonna downgrade to the 92mm. I don't want to risk the motor and general consensus seems to be that there's a good reason they don't give you the 88mm from the jump. I can't see myself needing more than 500whp (ever) and blowing the motor up isn't on my agenda for this year.

Chuck33079 06-25-2013 11:36 AM

500ish whp is a TON of power. I think you'll be fine.

I'd like to break 500 but I don't want to go any further than that.

Do the 92mm and a good tune and you should be about 475-500

dmhenderson 06-25-2013 11:49 AM

Again, you're at 516 right? I'm assuming it should be about the same.
