I think we VVEL is every solved with some exhaust cams opening up the exhaust more for SC will be better.

I'd love to do the Pepsi challenge with ART pipes, TPs, HFCs and stock cats

Recommend me some good ART pipes... So the tuner is having issues with the GTM so they have a call in to Uprev. At their tuner's suggestion, I'm going to try art pipes on the car

Motordyne makes the ART pipes.

dmhenderson 08-16-2013 12:32 PM

Also will ART pipes even fit given the air filter location?

I have a feeling it will drop power. Supercharger is not in its optimal efficiency range, not enough boost pressure, because you're running a very free flowing exhaust and HFC's. ART pipes might not make a diff or lower power.

Ok so:
-issues with tune. For some reason Moore can't tweak the GTM tune which I causing problems.
-torque is low ~340 not normal
-450whp but like I said, they can't tweak the tune right now. Waiting on a call back from uprev.

Suggestions?

Is it because it is password protected or when they make a change it does not save?

dmhenderson 08-16-2013 03:24 PM

Good stuff:
-the pickup is insane and maybe just a little frightening
-it makes a lot of noise. Forget what I said about stealth. If you are within 10 feet of the car at idle you can hear the hiss/whistle and the moment it starts moving you hear that unmistakeable BPV stutter

Well the nismo should really be significantly faster than the other models. Now that yours is I guess the satisfaction factor is really high. Congrats

Confirming that the car is now fun as hell to drive. I think I burned half a tank of gas running around today between the MAZOC meet and just driving aimlessly.

Did you ever get the dyno stuff straightened out with your tune, and how much power did you make.

No. Some static between uprev and the GTM pre-flashed tune. Moore is going to work with Uprev to figure it out and give me a call back when we can tune it. Right now I'm running the GTM tune which they tell me is "overly safe" although idle is really rough and i'm running lean through the middle of the power band.

I'm gonna pick up some motordyne ART pipes and delete my HFCs before I blow them out

Question about the Defi gauges if anyone knows. They light up bright when I turn the car on but then go dim and are hard to make out while the car is in motion. Any way to leave them on that bright setting? The innovate AFR gauge is particularly difficult to read in direct sunlight even with the gauge hoods on.

Also my oil pressure nearly bottoms out during idling at a complete stop but is fine if I goose the gas. I'm guessing this is a tune problem since nothing is leaking. I have the undershroud still off of the car just to be sure.
