Nice purchase. Lincolns head on a penny may be too old a gauge.

Ahhh... gotcha. Lesson learned.

:tiphat: I had a cheap analog gauge but it didn't seem to be accurate at all. Tires are a pretty important safety feature, so I don't like to mess around with them

I bought the tires and just replaced the rears. What a difference. I can't floor it and spin the tires in every gear. Hooray. Instead I am propelled forward.

I had dinner plans at my home with my mom and had been held up at work. I left work with the new tires and with damp roads could drive faster. I was late so I kept my speed up when a quarter mile from home saw a slow moving car ahead, closed a bit further and realized that's mom. I thought she was going to pull over but did not.

As she was leaving she said she had seen someone coming up behind and said he's in a hurry then' "Hey thats my son, I know where he's going so I don't need to pull over." Cool beans.

We had a great evening too.

Mt. Tam! It's almost time to break Harry out. Wanted to celebrate!:happydance:

blackcherry20 03-16-2014 09:18 AM

:hello:
Sooooo, Friday. In ohio. Sunny with temps expected in high 50s. Driveway still a bit soft, a bit wet. Screw it. HARRY!! Is coming out to play. Mmmmm. Look at the shine on him. LOL! Hubby and I hop in and head out for some beer and a bit of lunch. Harry feels a bit squirrelly compared to the Civic. Been away from him too long. What? Low tire pressure?! Hubby can you check it? Stop in the road. Yepp. Front right is at 26psi. Dang it. Do we have to go back? :shakes head: nahhh its ok for the short distance.
Man, these PSS sure are sticky and the roads sure are full of leftover grit and salt. But god it feels good to be in a car that actually goes when you goose the throttle! :driving::happydance: shifting. Listening to him accelerate. Sunshine on the hood. Other drivers staring. Ahhhh yes....the essence of a Z, MY Z, on the highway. :yum:

I forgot about this thread.

I had dinner last night with Mr. O, which was delightful. I showed him my new Z1 rotors which should be on the car soon.

On the way home it was still before sun down and with a Cayman in front I turned off the VDC and prepared for a fast run. When the road opened up for us the Cayman pulled over for me and then tried to follow. No dice.

All of two unadulterated miles home, were what the Z is all about.

This morning was so clear on the road that I arrived 5 minutes early and had time to fill the tank.

This shows me how much of our lives are wasted by the slow pokes of the world.

It is hard to not notice a possible correlation between higher gas prices and fewer cars on the road. I just noticed what I have been paying for gas and have wondered why the road has offered me more 'driving' time lately. Maybe?

I had a brief hold up on the way home yesterday, but got a 90% unobstructed drive home, VDC off.

It started with a hot hatch trying to show off for me. Thankfully he went a different direction after a short distance as he was slowing me down a tad. A Maxima held me up half a mile at most, then a clear drive to the garage door.

Luck was on my side. Each time I came to an intersection I had right of way, a second or two later I'd of had a car pull in front. Such a sweet ride.

^^^^ smh. Great for you. It never fails here. :( in Harry. Driving along at a nice clip on a four lane divided highway. Turn off onto the two lane...yepp...Stupid work trucks. Stupid jacked up 80s version Fords. Chevys. Freaking Dodge. Always. Always. Always. Have to get in front of me and Harry. I hate it.

Until I realize...if the drive is slower paced I get to spend more time w Harry. All of a sudden life is better.

I love Harry ;)

Open road and WOT in the Z is like good sex that's rough but not too rough

Traffic in the Z is an opportunity to cuddle with the Z like you would a loved one
