Traded my car in for a brand new magma red Nismo I found... I'm so heart broken, very mixed feelings about this.

octet 05-11-2014 04:31 AM

Things got to a point where I spent so much money and only had a pretty engine bay to show for it. I got tired of troubleshooting, needing a retune, shredding belts, getting 14mpg, and never matching the power I paid for. I loved the way she sounded and all the cooling work, but it just kept chipping away at me.

The dealer gave me $33k for the car, I ate about $15,000 total. With the Nismo, I'm going to stay stock for at least a year so I can refocus on more important things in life. This was the very last magma red Nismo in the country just sitting at my doorstep. The salesguys were there till 1am working every last penny. The only option the Nismo didn't have were the kick plates. I bought it for $42,000. In the near future, I save some money, but I still find myself second guessing. Wifey put me on probation with mods, and I can't argue her logic. Things just didn't pan out like I had hoped.

I hear you loud and clear. Sometimes peace of mind is way more important than dollars and cents. Enjoy your new ride and don't look back!!! I look forward hooking up with you and the Phx gang some time this summer.

Congrats! Glad GTM didn't run you out of the car game totally.

DEpointfive0 05-11-2014 11:18 AM

Wow... Can't believe you sold it... Then again, I don't think you ever drove it, it sat in a shop getting fixed most of the time...

DEpointfive0 05-11-2014 11:19 AM

Can't wait to see what the dealer has to go through when they need parts from GTM

Dude....

I don't blame you at all. Not in the slightest. I don't blame your wife either lol. My wife would have cut my hand off so I couldnt reach for my wallet after that.

Gotta post pics of the Nismo though! (Could've gone 335i and had a TT platform, or been baller and grabbed a M4 that is now coming stock TT ;))

GTM took a quality hit imo. Should've had everything ironed out before throwing it into a customers car.

Sorry to hear about your troubles but I am glad you cut your losses early. Enjoy your new ride!

Thanks for the support guys, I was so stressed out, even when waking up this morning. Reading the responses and talking with tturboz, my brother and catching a girl in her bf's ride recording my bone stock Nismo helps ease my mind.

Now... To find out how I'm going to sell my stock parts. Btw, do u guys think I should install my RRP or sell? I'm reminded again that the stock exhaust sound is sh!t.

Edit: My old car is at Pinnacle Nissan right now.I'm dropping off my spare CAT and uprev cable as well as all my documentation I have on the car. For anyone wanting to buy it, Ask for
