Dude let's drive over there and check it out. That looks like something you might like :wtf2: Nice deal for anyone wanting a rare supercharged car for sure. Makes me want to see what they would give me for the grey ghost on a track edition gtr :ugh2:

SS_Firehawk 05-20-2014 04:32 PM

I wouldn't hesitate to buy my car again if I had some spare change laying around.

SS_Firehawk 05-26-2014 12:25 AM

Clayed, polished, and waxed my Nismo and Wifeys new Maxima. This past weekend. No shots of mine. I'll post them tomorrow. I also destroyed a rotary buffer in 1.5 cars. I returned that POS for a refund.

So I was Told that my old Z sold today to a someone in Vegas, supposedly someone with a big title as a job description. I'm hoping it's someone that is on or joined the forum. It'd be comforting to know where she went.

I hope so to, plus I hope he had the money to keep up with it. If he was smart he would have Googled 370z twin supercharged and found your thread. I hope we get to see the progress of her still.

Yeah, I hope so, so I can laugh my áss off at their misfortune

SS_Firehawk 05-29-2014 03:08 PM

So, I'm thinking of naming her Phoenix. It's a bit cliche and funny that I live in Phoenix currently, but it sounds bad arse and seems fitting. What do you guys think?

Hotrodz 05-29-2014 08:31 PM

Fitting as she has brought back to life.....

SS_Firehawk 06-01-2014 12:56 AM

So.... I found out my bone stock Nismo with a passenger is faster than a new RT Charger. My Wife was asking " Are you giving it everything it has?!?!?!" Uhhhh yeah... "That was too close, I wish you had had your other Z for this. We woulda smashed him." "I didn't get that sinking feeling in my stomach like the old one."

I will most assuredly use these observations to my advantage.

ModBargains 06-11-2014 11:57 AM

Oh this is money :p

SS_Firehawk 07-10-2014 03:53 PM

Debating if I should start a new journal for the new ride or just throw it in here. Still bone stock and not much to report. I'm putting a bit of focus on my PC. Its going to take about $1000-$1200 to finish. That's exhaust money. I also need to add a new GPU to Wifeys rig. Afterwards, I'm hoping to focus more on my ride. It's going to be parked for a couple months while I'm at school, so it's not as big a rush.

SS_Firehawk 07-13-2014 11:28 AM

Ryan and Jen(Z) are helping me out big time with installing the road race pump over the weekend. Huge props to them. Of course this means it's not for sale anymore :)

Hotrodz 07-13-2014 11:32 AM

Have you installed the AEM CAI yet?

That's one way to beat an 800hp Z. Tons of hard right hand turns :roflpuke2:

SS_Firehawk 07-13-2014 02:55 PM

I'm not available to be there and help today and they are running into some serious snags. I might have to try this another day. I think I'm going to reach out to Charles for help when I try again. I'm a bit bummed, but oh well.

From what I have read it seems like quite a process and takes a few days for the average guy to do the first time. Would def reach out to Charles. He is invaluable in regards to fuel systems and customer service.

What are the problems they are having?

SS_Firehawk 07-13-2014 10:31 PM

Getting the hoses to connect while the pump is half way in. Ryan also noted that the direction the pump was facing, the tube would turn 90° into the tank wall linking them. I haven't had an opportunity myself to see what's up. This is all from what was passed on to me.

They having troubles with the stock fuel pump? Should look something like this before installing it.

SS_Firehawk 07-15-2014 08:21 PM

New baseline at Doug's Dyno tonight at 9:30. It's an awd mustang Dyno. I'm anticipating low numbers...

Rusty 07-15-2014 08:36 PM

Yep.

Guess you got "phunk's' fuel pump in?

235whp 200lb ft... 2000ft elevation, maybe 3% humidity, and 95℉ in the garage. Gas was 91 octane from shell. Oil temps were 200℉ at the start of the pulls and ended at about 220℉. I couldn't get them to drop any lower for my runs. It's about 45-50whp lower than his normal Nismo's. Car has 2300 miles. I'll load up the graphs later. This was on an MD500 awd Dyno. Car weight was set at 3625, hp at 60mph was set to 13, and all runs were in 4th gear.

Well, the only other way to go is up. This mght be the lowest baseline I've ever seen lol.

Wow SS I'm late to the party just finding out about your situation. I saw you had a Nismo and running around trying to find out why. I'm happy to hear the motor didn't go and you parted with the car before anything happened.

You beat my old low, I did 245whp on a dyno dynamics in 09.

KaienZ34 07-17-2014 09:08 PM

What!?! The new one????

davwak 07-17-2014 09:32 PM

Oh no! Hopefully it's not something terrible. *crosses fingers*

Mr&Mrs 07-18-2014 02:47 AM

I feel like im starting to read Ryans (98intrigue) thread. Sorry man hopefully it is something silly. As far as the dyno im curious to see what your planned mods do to those numbers.

SS_Firehawk 07-18-2014 08:49 AM

I think it's the fuel pump. It's at a dealer now, so we'll see. I think the pump failing and those low numbers might be synchronous. Hotrodz was kind enough to offer a room for my wife and I at his house. We drank beers, traded stories and enjoyed the company . He let me drive his Nismo. I giggled like a mad scientist the whole time. This forum has come through for me countless times for help.

Hotrodz 07-18-2014 01:01 PM

You are family now and our casa su casa! Looking forward to seeing you riding in style again.

SS_Firehawk 07-19-2014 11:31 AM

So after 7 hours, the service guys confirmed it was the fuel pump. Unfortunately, a new pump won't be in until Tuesday. Wifey and I were in some random parking lot all day waiting for a call back to figure out what to do next. I'm sure it took so long because they have to follow a step by step diagnostics procedure. Ticking and a hard crank with no turn over usually means no fuel. It was also the only thing that was touched on the car. I'm not going to point fingers at anyone. Things happen, and it's getting fixed for free.

Edit: This just turned into a $1,000 problem.

Unlike. :(

GaleForce 07-19-2014 04:43 PM

Damn.

SS_Firehawk 07-19-2014 05:37 PM

I got her picked up, but this is just a bad time for this to happen. I'm supposed to get ready to pack all my stuff in storage, go to Reno, and figure out where I'm moving afterwards. This mistake hurt. My Wife is Pissed, we're both stressed, bickering, and tired of our whole situation. Hopefully this is the cherry, and we can work our way down.

Crap!

SS_Firehawk 07-22-2014 12:11 PM

Holy Hell, it doesn't stop. Anderson Nissan left gouges in my passenger door sill. I already called them and sent pics. Some were down to plastic and metal. I found five different scratches where they were working to put in the new pump.
