We sure did! I was surprised! There were a lot of very nice vehicles at the show today. Thank you and your team for putting on a well organized show. We're looking forward to next year already.

By the way, I won the trophies, Mrs.Force won the TV. I don't think she's giving it up. :bowrofl:

Btw... I actually like that vodka. The first time I bought it was just for the skull container :icon17: But I found myself purchasing it several more times just because. Unfortunately, we have such a terrific local Vodka (Tito's rocks! :yum:) that is dirt cheap, so much so that I rarely branch outside of it in my vodka selections these days.

kenchan 08-11-2014 02:37 PM

wow, congrats, mr.gale!

I thought it was good. I noticed a small leak yesterday the upper line off the oil plate that replaced the oil filter. I loosened off the fitting, adjusted the line, cleaned everything up, ran the engine, no leak. Today I drove the Toronto, 1.5hrs, checked when I arrived, and the think was bleeding oil. I don't know what to do now. Fûck!!!!!!!! It will be going up on jack stands tomorrow, or the next day for me to have a good look. :shakes head:

I have heard good things about Tito's. Must try it some day. :yum:

Did you have oil leaks from your braided oil lines? One of my lines had to be replaced because it ruptured in the middle of the line.

I replaced all my oil lines and fittings early spring. Used Russel Performance stuff. I see oil at the swivel of one 90 degree fitting.

The leak must get worse when the car is hot, and under pressure because when test it after I clean it up, and adjust the line, everything looks fine, you can't even see it leak when idling. What pisses me off is the oil is dripping on the Z-Speed under tray, then between the wind from driving, and the rad fan running, it blows the oil down the passenger underside of the car. My wheel well liner is coated, the lower suspension arm is coated, the down pipe is coated...

valpozguy 08-12-2014 09:37 AM

If you're having problems with the specific line take it to your local auto shop that has a hydraulic line compressor and have them make you the exact same line with thoes fittings, that thing will never leak

My leak happens at the swivel portion. If they remake the same hose using swivel fittings that isn't going to fix my problem.

Yep, sucks. Worrying about an oil leak is the last thing I want to do when driving/boosting. I was so pissed last night that the thought of going back to NA crossed my mind. :shakes head:

That hasn't crossed my mind but the oil leaks have made me regret, almost wish I hadn't do it, the process. Sucks that we did all this great work ourselves and stupid little oil leaks that have nothing to do with what we did are causing the issues.

Now that I think of it I couldn't go back NA. I went and sold all my parts. Guess if I ever get rid of it it'll be as a turbo car.:ugh2:

Mitco39 08-12-2014 11:13 AM

I too had similar issues with the leaks. I had Sasha redo my lines (after attempting to fix them myself and having nothing but issues) and I have not had even a drop since. Something is funny with this car and these oil lines, seems to be a much to common issue.

I think the obscenely high oil pressure has something to do with it

GaleForce 08-12-2014 11:59 AM

So far it looks like one 90 degree fitting. I thought buying a "high quality" brand name fitting (Russel Performance) would solve the leaking issue. Nope. I really don't want to drop $25 per fitting until I get a good one.

The car will be going up on jack stands hopefully this afternoon. Looks like I'll be doing an early oil change and swap out the bad fitting, I bought an extra just in case. It's almost like I can see into the future. :rofl2:

I'm going Earl when I replace all the lines with the V1.5 upgrade. They are more expensive but it is what it is.

FYI...I have another small leak, source unknown at the moment. Goes on the lift Friday for inspection and general kit checkup.

Mitco39 08-12-2014 12:24 PM

You guys have been putting to much Alcohol through your engines, it thins the blood! haha

:ugh:

There's such a thing as too much alcohol:ugh2:

Retract all my previous statements. My BAC is causing all the leaks:bowrofl:

Professional Toronto Photographer Daniel Camer has edited some photos. They look incredible! I will post some up tomorrow.

I am thinking, maybe Sasha should look into using higher quality lines since some of us are having issues with the oil lines.

He already did that. The most recent kits built he used all aeromotive fittings. Those are basically tier one products. We are still having issues.

I wanted to try Earl. From what I read Earl and Russell were the go to fittings. I went Russell because they were the only ones available locally. No leak my a$$ :ugh2:

I'm going Earl. I'm also wondering if I should use Earl hose too. It's way more expensive than Russell, like over 50% more. Just trying to justify the additional cost. I can't see that much difference in hose and that's not where my issues have been.

I don't know if there is any difference in hose, but from what I was reading, it's not advisable to use the ends from one manufacturer with the hose from another manufacturer. Possibly the hose wall thickness is different, and the fittings compensate for it, but there are no specs, or proof to back that up. I'm calling voodoo on the brand "x" fitting must use brand "x" hose.

I'll probably breakdown and buy the Earl hose too.

On a side note. Did I ever send you the pics from my real camera of the a-pillar? I know I took them just I can't recall if I emailed them to you. Alcohol does a number on your brain cells:ugh2:
