I had a productive morning. Moved the occupancy pad over to the Takata seat. I was able to get the passenger seat mounted, and harness installed. I still need to conned the seat heaters to power, but thats easy.

Now I need to get the car back on the ground, fill up the oil, start the car and check for leaks. If all is good, I can jack the car back up and reinstall the bumper and under shroud. I also need to reset the windows and airbag systems.

I'll try to take a quick pic and post it up before I head off to work.

I missed you this weekend man! You'll definitely have to come out next year, I don't know how long of a drive Chicago is from you, but its worth it.

Car looks great man and those seat are amazing! I can tell you after 6 hours of driving in my seats my back isn't feeling the best. Any updates on your steering wheel?

Yeah man. I was drooling every time you updated FB with pics. Awesome rides there!

I hope to hear something about the steering wheel later this week or next. I'll probably email them for an update this week.

GaleForce 06-09-2014 11:55 AM

I'll get better pics soon.

FireDan50 06-09-2014 03:27 PM

So you were able to use the OEM seat pressure pad to stop the airbag light from flashing?

I'll put EW in the engine compartment since he can contribute something to the force-induction... :bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl:

I haven't had time to test it yet. Everything is installed, I hope to get everything running and reprogrammed by the weekend. Other guys have done it, so it should work.

Put it back on the ground, filled it with oil, started it up, checked for leaks. So far so good. I also reset the power windows. To my surprise, I didn't need to reset any airbag stuff.

I just need to get it back up in the air, double check things, reinstall the bumper and undershroud, then test drive. :happydance:

You'll probably have to get it out and test drive it to check the new GReddy Thermostat. It passes very little oil until 180deg. I was able to get mine to open idling in the garage but I had to hold the revs up @3k for awhile. Not sure what the weather is like up there but it was 90deg in my garage and it still took awhile.

alcheng 06-10-2014 02:28 PM

so, are you ready for the cruise in 2016??

Mr&Mrs 06-10-2014 10:55 PM

Let me know how the weight sensor goes I have had 0 luck with mine.

Thanks for the tip. I basically had time to start it up and do a quick check for obvious leaks. I will check oil level in the morning and top up if needed. It's supposed to rain the next few days so I might not be able to take it for a test drive until the weekend. I'll let you know how things work out.

Will do. Honestly, I don't remember how the pad/dash light is supposed to work. I'll have to read the owners manual again.

Only Gale could get a set of seats done that correct. Perfect in every way, flows with the build, yet appropriately racecar. This man's attention to detail is second to none my friends.

Well done sir!

PS: dibs on stockers :rofl2:

NSFW, I cannot leave my office for about 10min because of "anatomical difficulties" related to "carporn".
