I think I should get a custom one that says I got the baddest G37 in H-town

I just can't figure out how Recaro could screw up so royally when they make so many seats for people all the time...

Gale, did you ever get the GReddy Thermostat installed? What was the outcome of the small gap on the AN fitting?

I'm still chasing a leak between the AN fitting and the plate. Really starting to get frustrating.

:shakes head:

My Z is covered in dust. I have no time for my own projects yet. Soon I hope. I need to jack the car up, rework oil system, and I'm fiddling around with making a rear diffuser...

Can you get a -10an connector to -8an hose fitting? That way you can use the connectors that Greddy supplies.

You can get a -10AN to -8AN adapter. The problem is twofold; one, you are already cramped for space down there and two, Sasha replaced the fittings for me and did not send the ones that originally came with the GReddy.

If I can't find a solution I might be dealing with an oil leak until I get the V1.5 kit from Sasha.

I'll have to go through your journal and look at your set up again.

What sucks is the amount I spent on fittings and Greddy adaptor would have paid for the 1.5 upgrade. :shakes head:

Make it easy on you. As you can see you don't have a lot of room towards the engine. I don't think you could get the -10AN/-8AN adapter in there and still get the fittings on.

Where exactly is your leak?

The two fittings that are closest to the engine are the feed and return to the block. The two in the forefront go to the oil cooler. I'm leaking from the left oil cooler fitting. The leak is actually between the plate and the AN fitting, not in the swivel fittings.

Are you using teflon tape, pipe dope, or ???

I actually haven't removed the fitting since I received it. I'm waiting to hear back from Sasha on exactly what he did to swap those fittings and if I should go back with teflon or not.

Really getting kind of frustrating that I managed to install an entire turbo kit and all the electrical and the only thing that seems to be wrong is oil leaks that we did nothing to cause.

I had a leaky fitting on the original filter relocator. The fitting had teflon tape installed on it when I received it. I ended up removing the fitting and redoing the teflon tape then everything was a-ok.

Might try that at the next oil change. Now that I think of it there probably isn't a lot of oil in that line anyway

Version 3 of the seats have left Germany, they should be in the hands of the US distributor by Friday. I was told if the order was right, I should have the seats next week. :ugh2:
