There is an UPREV tuner here but he doesn't mess with VVEL. I just wanted to take it to a place that all they do is tune. The tuner here does it part time. It is going to take a while but I will get it there.

I just read every post in this thread. Amazing build man. Even though you havent gotten the final numbers teased out to where you want them, i am impressed at the dedication of it. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for that message. Just wanted to do something out of the ordinary

dyno

Here is my dyno graph. My redline was at 7500 rpm notice that the power doesnt drop off. The dyno was a dynapack and 92 octane fuel. I am happy with this dyno but still needs more tuning time as you can tell.

Great build!! how about adding modified throttle bodies from june, mines or other? I can't wait to see your final results, I would love to stay NA and have a good amount of hp output

So you're logging and emailing the results to uprev, or did you find someone good local to you? Your setup was always going to take some extra time to get everything dialed in right since you're the only one who's really gone this route.

There is no good local tuners in Hawaii . It's a joke here !!!

it looks like your power comes on a lot earlier than normal which is great.

Looks good -- I'm guessing the baseline is just before tuning rather than everything stock?

If so, do you have any idea what stock 370Z's tend to put down on that dyno for comparison?

So where does this build stand right now? Do you have some more tuning scheduled? When will you be back on the mainland?

Navyboy916 05-30-2014 05:51 PM

I am due to be back on the mainland at the end of July or beginning of August. I haven't decided what I am going to do next to the car. Of course I have to clear it with my wife but I am going to be tuning more when I get to the mainland cause the tuners here are not really knowledgable about the VQ engine. They can get the job done but I just want a person that really knows these engines. I really have been thinking about long tube headers but I have to see which state I am going to due to emission laws. I will tell u though after the last tune the car pulls like crazy. Adding the Z1 manifold really helped to.

brucelidat 05-30-2014 06:10 PM

you need to go to specialty Z, seb's one of the best Z tuners

Navyboy916 05-30-2014 06:17 PM

Where is that?

brucelidat 05-30-2014 06:19 PM

California. If you're ever here, go see Seb, he is very respected in the Z community.

Wait you don't have headers?

SS_Firehawk 05-31-2014 11:16 AM

I vote headers as well. Having a decent set with those cams would really let them do their work.
