4x8 sheet is only $120. I'm getting it. And it's local.
same, that's what i'll be doing, our cars are very easy to make a splitter actually, ton of places for bracing to add L shape brackets!
I want to have something that's secure but can be removed fast
easy, mount some L shape brackets to the crash bar, then use stock location bolts, also where the undertray clips on you can convert those to bolts/nuts and just tack weld the nuts its pretty obvious once you look at it.
to get you an idea this is how we installed my friend's s2000 front splitter to make it adjustable, it is also adjustable front/to rear +/- about 1-2" https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...29517052_n.jpg |
Noice

we can do similar with our crash bar up front
L bracket design is great... i use quick release clips on mine that could be incorporated with L brackets for speedy on/off
Travis, any upclose pictures of your splitter? thanks
I to want to see these clips your talking about?
car is off site right now... clips are quick release style where you squeeze bith sides then can swing latch open... spring within keeps ~20 lbs of pressure even once you squeeze in sides... cant remember where i sourced - maybe summit?
broke my arm this week btw, so won't be able to make chin ra event! sucks typing 1 hand too! you can do google image search for travisjb 370z and may find some pics... also a few months ago i posted vid walkaround of my car on journal and clips should be visible there youtube vid... dont see clips unfortunately http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94wr78O9_Q8 |

Check these out for bike fairings. This could be perfect to just replace the bolts for the undertray/bumper for quick removal....
