Officially one of my favorite builds on the forum. I would suggest an APR wing if you are going for functional aero, but the car looks really clean

Ings+1 dry carbon wing (first one in US confirmed) arriving on boat from Japan any day now. Ordered this months ago. Super stoked.

Congratulations on an exciting build. Project X did my SC kit and they are very knowledgable and do outstanding work. Your car is incredibly unique and inspiring. I love projects that take it this far.

What suspension mods did you do? The stance looks great.

Yes, I agree 110%. PX are THE Nissan guys in the Chicagoland area IMO. Beyond that, they can do just about anything, but when it comes to Nissan/Infiniti, these are the guys.

Stance GR+ coilovers, SPC front & rear camber arms (-3 camber all the way around), SPC front A arms & rear toe bolts, and of course sway bars (Stillen).

There is a separate thread with all the Ings stuff for sale that shows these pix, but since the wing is part of my build, here's what she'll look like (except in dry carbon).

forza370z 04-07-2012 01:18 AM

That wing looks sweet! I am always a big fan of your nismo! Keep us posted.

mhcoss 04-07-2012 01:52 PM

Sick man. Can't wait to see this beast come to life can't wait to hear about you smoking some exotic that thinks he is fast

birdmanx1 04-07-2012 02:11 PM

Long overdue gallery, I've long been in awe with all you've doing with your amazing Nismo. In for further progress with your build, it keeps getting better!

jay666 04-07-2012 09:24 PM

Thanx guys.

A bunch of parts have been arriving, but we're waiting for the damn custom pistons to arrive before much can be done with the engine build itself.

The wing shows due for delivery on Tuesday, so we should have photos of that.

Alstann 04-07-2012 10:45 PM

That wing is incredible looking, it really pulls off the big wing look without being too pretentious. Can't wait to see the rest of the build.

happytheman 04-08-2012 12:21 AM

Sub'd so I can see the unveiling of this sick Nismo!

Damn, was thinking of doing that wing with the Nismo kit, well now I can wait and see how it turns out for you.

Sorry to burst your bubble but I've seen one installed a couple weeks ago on a black nismo. Besides, it's an exterior part that soon thousands will have, is it that big of a deal? :ugh2:

quagmire87 07-01-2012 12:28 PM

Can't wait to see it in person!!!!

Sort of. I based my decision on what I was told from the guys doing the build and their recommendation and what THEY know (the key word being "know"), not what I know. I'll be the first to admit I don't know everything and don't pretend to try. But I put my faith in people who do.

We simply did not we feel comfortable going any more than that at this point, and frankly, I'm not ready for it anyways.

I'm pushing 605 rwhp on the dyno on my Z brotha grats my turbo is efficient up to 890 hp I'm currently running 7 lbs of boost safely. The turbo kit I'm using is sts turbo rear mounted ball bearing turbo.:happydance:

It was probably the wet carbon wing. Dry carbon was first confirmed in the US.

A $5,000 wing something thousands will have? Doubt it.

Yes, it's a big deal to me. Thanks for not bursting my bubble.

The original target number was based off what was available at the time. We didn't expect it to take 4.5 months to get the pistons in. However, the new upgraded MAFS are already ordered and will be in shortly. This car really is going to be beauty and the beast all rolled into one. And it's gonna spool awesomely with the twin GT2871R's and still running 10:1 compression.

LOL at "thousands will have it". There aren't "thousands" of them for the 350Z at this point. I doubt it was the dry carbon wing. Even if it was, keep in mind that the post was made a long time ago. The build was delayed and regardless of what is in the states now, Jay's statement was still valid.
