Very nice
I agree with the post above that suggests wing ... tho i am guessing that is already on the drawing board. For your design i think a Aeromotion adjustable split wing would look absolutely killer ... they re like 7 grand though :/ |
Great action shots.

I like the fenders =) reminds me of a Ben Sopra thing...
|
Wing is in works, new exhaust and cage/seats first tho.

Yes, this car has been inspired a lot by the Ben Sopra GTR. Unfortunately there isnt much options for the 370z, and even the few options we do have, its such a hassel to get parts. My dealings with carbon signal for example have been horrendous. And I had tried personally contacting many of the companies involved in the Bensopra GTR in order to try and have them custom make something for my Z, unfortunately with no response whatsoever.
So refusing to settle with that I decided to just design my own. And I am very happy with the outcome so far. June 10th the car is being dropped off to get custom dual center exhaust fabbed, and the week after that it goes in to have seats and cage fabricated. After that I will be looking into getting the custom struts fabricated for my APR GT-300 wing I have sitting in the garage. |
get it girl!
we will have to do a few hot laps when I get home.. see who has the better driver mod ;) |

It's hard finding good shops but its nice when you make good connections.

The body shop I went to is called A & L autobody in Palatine, IL. They get shipped cars from across the country. They are also the main body shop for bulletproof automotive as well as IND (the big BMW guys) which was actually originally run on site at A & L. Everything else I've done myself with my buddies in my garage. The cage I am having built by another shop and a friend is doing the custom exhaust. I'll name those companies at a later date once I can vouch for the quality of work. |

Anyway, looks good. I just cant imagine the street/highway debris that will ricochet towards the fender and door... :icon14: |

Some more pics from last week at the Autobahn Country Club. Finally got decals on the car this past weekend. Hopefully can get some new pics this weekend when weather is nicer, last pic is a little teaser of decal lay out.

Have you noticed any added cooling of the brakes with the fenders?
|
Quote:
because I bet these do a decent job too |
I do not currently track my car. I also have no before hand experience without them. Also I have no idea about who made what fenders or who designed them. Repeatedly telling me you got ripped off isnt going to change anything, I had nothing to do with it. Glad to see you finally came out of the shadows though.
If you want to talk more PM me. Quote:

and in the shadows? I always spoke loudly about this, I never hid.. :bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl: |
What happened? lol I think I am in the shadows.
Anyways to answer your question Mr.&Mrs. Yes I ran 30 min HARD in 90 degree weather and brakes never overheated whatsoever. So far my set up is turning out to work wonderfully on the track. |
Perfect!

See from any other company in the US here...if I want a part: I order it, and its shipped that day or next and is here by the end of the week and I dont have to send 20 emails back and forth for months. It's nice that you guys offer REALLY cool parts for the Z. But it would be 100x nicer if you had better business morals, and better US partners. You guys could be SO much more successful. |
Quote:
Wont comment on business morals but coming to partners its not easy as it seems we had worst experience with autokitx for fenders, so will just stick with Shine and for delivery Concept Z Performance and Ravspec both Coz and Mark have been amazing to deal with and after this shipment which left majority of parts will be available with these people or shipped to them for all you guys here to save on shipping. Wont derail the thread good luck with the built. |
