HKS boost controller is in @ Baker Tuning just have not had time this week to go get it installed. I have been super bussy this week, have not even had enough time to scratch my own a$$. |
Must be rough not being able to scratch ones own a$$.
|
Are you going to get that car on a dyno or what??!!??
I am supposed to have the boost controller installed thurs, and ''IF'' that happens thurs we will go to get a dyno friday. PF said they wont make us call in and make an appointment, they will let us get dynoed no matter what they are doing  |
I just thought I'd like to add, that Dreamer is a Douche, and "Project DiaD" is for sale
 |
I should be Friday for a dyno, I know I need to to give some readouts to Sam, just been busy the past week.
|
So you are going to the dyno tomorrow?
|
Updates?
|
Currently working on getting the most out of the long tube headers, Sam is working on a few things.
My F.I. exhaust should arrive in a few weeks. Beyond that I am enjoying the car with what we have done so far. No major plans for getting anything else this year probably. :) |
What is Sam doing?

So when I come home on R&R... I get a free ride right? You too JB! LOL Need to get my recon on for my build. :p
EDIT: Before you bastards take that out out context... A ride in your cars. LOL |
Dreamer I'm with you man I love my LTH's, once Sam gets your S/C tuned right with them I'll give him a call.
|
Do you still have the problem with not holding boost? Do you think the test pipes with stock header will have the similar problem? Did you do a dyno on dyno jet yet? My decision on the SC kit is depended on your result

WTF Dreamer still has a car?

A small update, not directly with my car. I got the opportunity to sit in two BRIDE seats.
Bride Euro II: -This seats is very comfortable, much more so than stock (I commented that I might be able to fall asleep in it). Anyways, the butt portion of the seat is slightly tighter than stock but not much better at 'gripping' or holding the driver in place, but the lower side and shoulder support is 100% the way the stock seat should be. Add in the fact it supports a 4 point harness you have a great daily driving seat plus upgraded support for those canyon runs and minor track days. Overall I would rank this seat as a solid upgrade over stock for those looking to bring in a 4 point harness, slightly better support, but retain as much comfort as possible. Downside is it does not provide a much upgraded side to side support as the side bolsters are only marginally better than stock. Bride Stradia II: -This seat was one I have been waiting to test sit for some time. I knew it was not going to be a daily driver seat, but even after that I do not know if I could ever drive my car with this seat. I am 6'4" around 200lbs with a 35 inch waist and while I can physically fit in this seat with no problems, the issue comes in the lower support constricting my feet movement for me. Back support (upper/lower) were very good and kept me well planted in the seat. This seat also has support for a 5 point harness if needed, sits slightly lower than stock (or Bride Euro) and gives the upgrade lateral support one might need. Down side is you will not want to get in/out of this daily, and it really is built for the smaller frame of the Asian community. My hope for this seat was to be a solid upgrade for heavy driving but not horrible enough I could not drive it around town if I wanted, but I do not think it will be that. With the feel of this seat I would almost rather jump to a full bucket seat as the ability to recline would be wasted completely. In the end both seats are solid upgrades over stock but each with its own pluses & minuses. I almost feel the Stradia is a tough choice if you want a track seat (bolt you in and go) as a bucket seat would provide better support as it does not recline. The Euro is a nice upgrade over stock, but could do with a bit more support for my butt. A couple pictures of the Euro, forgot to snap a few of the Stradia. If anyone wants to test fit either of these seats in Houston let me know. http://lh3.ggpht.com/_wgFNZZBDMaE/TJ...816_182417.jpg http://lh5.ggpht.com/_wgFNZZBDMaE/TJ...816_182431.jpg |

Also, Baker Tuning will have another seat coming in soon (Zeta III maybe) and I should have a chance to test sit that one also.
|
the price of those seats just doubled.
i still think i'm gonna get a stradia. oh, right, i'm asian. :rofl2: |

I just sold a Euro II that was used for 3 months for $550 lol

Car looks great I really like those seats!
|
I don't think I could handle racing seats with harnesses in my Z. I sat in one today and took over a minute to get buckled in. It was a PITA.

Time for another review.
Fast Intentions Exhaust (12" resonators & SS mufflers) with Fast Intentions Long Tube Headers: -The car has has a much deeper tone and both aggressive in nature and overall volume. I will honestly say I had a few people turn heads with my previous exhaust setup, but this system I have people walking up to my car and watching as I just pull through parking lots. Start up (cool mornings) - The car is a bit loud but within 15 seconds it is down to a nice volume and tone. This is partially due to the LTHs I would assume, but definitely a great sound to have. Morning driving - The sound is very good with a hint of rasp while the car & exhaust is still warming up. Overall though it stays quiet in the morning until I push it above 4k which is great when I am just waking up and getting out of the neighborhood. Afternoon/Evening - Car is warm, exhaust is warm, this exhaust absolutely is a dream. I thought the LTHs with 12" res might be a bit to loud just driving around town but it definitely is not, for me. Cruising you get a nice exhaust note throughout the cabin and can just put your foot down and get it all. The only downside I have had with this exhaust was when I was stuck in traffic for over an hour not moving at all and my car was starting to get extra hot. My revs were slowly climbing and just sitting there was a bit of a pain, but really ever since that single instance it never has happened. I have been stuck one other time for awhile in traffic and it was fine. Probably was the huge pick up truck in front of me that was pumping hot air into my car. :shakes head: |
On another note, I am looking to do brake upgrades. Not sure what to set for a budget, but first I am keeping the stock BBK setup. It works great on the street, but I need a bit more stopping power with the SC. Plus I have not changed my stock pads out and after 20k miles I think it is time for a change.
Currently looking to do the following: -SS Lines -New Pads -Fluid Looking for the best street options. I do not want pads that screech, fluid I do not mind changing out every so often if needed but would like to keep it to twice a near maximum. SS lines I would assume most are similar but looking for opinions from those who have upgraded. I want to do rotors also, even though I know they might not do much for me on the street, but I think overall they are a nice touch to have with the car. Though those will come beginning of next year. |
