Products for your Vehicle | Products ~ ACT / Performance Clutch Kits, Clutches and Flywheels

my disc is only rated to 435 ftlbs :( but at least I can pick up the disc you had for under $200.00. I'll post new numbers when I get the 6-puck disk in next week, CSC, etc... Should crack 500whp(dynojet)!!

Boobs/winning. Haha.

No really, blue/white. I didn't get to test drive it because it was sold :( I found another local one that I'm going to call on today.

Let us know about the new dyno!

Is Jtran Studios making their own turn key kits? Would be cool to have more options in the near future.

Ron 01-17-2012 12:00 PM

I think they're just in house for now.

O&G 01-17-2012 12:08 PM

Yea, Ron is correct, it's more of a custom in house build at the moment. Customers have a lot of options to choose from turbo, wastegate, BoV, etc... builds can be designed for each customers price range and power desired. We have learned a lot and are continuing to learn more about the set-up, ways to make it better. We will be doing a new turbo manifold design in the next month or so to increase spool up time on the turbo. For now I'm just waiting on the correct clutch disc so we can crack 500whp on this particular setup. I will continue to give updates as they come in.

Ron 01-17-2012 12:08 PM

Clutch disc in, I need to break this thing in so we can get some accurate Dyno numbers. Lots of city driving needed :(

Pretty heavy duty looking

O&G 02-01-2012 02:41 PM

Yea, this one is rated to 550wtq, the one I had was only rated to 435 wtq and it was slipping on the 10psi w/ meth run! Hopefully I'll break this thing in with-in a week. Install is next week!

Robert_K 02-03-2012 06:35 AM

Just went through your thread. Car looks and sounds good!

O&G 02-03-2012 01:19 PM

Anything new???

O&G 02-17-2012 11:53 AM

Clutch on Tuesday, been putting it off, work and crap(life). I'm stepping up to the 3 inch intake runners and motor mounts going in too. Break it in and get some more dyno pulls @ 10psi w/ meth. If you sell your rims, post on here too!

You still on the OEM clutch??? What meth kit you using? Was considering running meth but maybe in the future. Will do. And I'll price them to move.

O&G 02-17-2012 12:12 PM

AEM meth kit, the ACT street disc is only rated to 435wtq and was slipping @ 10psi. I upped to the 550wtq option. I highly recommend running meth, helps prevent detonation and adds power, pretty much like running 110 octane in boost!

Oh I agree on the meth! But the problem is when you run out of meth. Trust me I'm all for it! Hell I was pushing it way back in the day.

Mike@GTM

Just wanted to let everyone know how great it's been working w/ GTM on my lil turbo project. Mike@GTM has taken time out of his day numerous times to help me make this project a reality. Today he stayed late and put the Stg II. s/c engine mount up on the website so I and others can place orders on it. I'm looking to run a bigger diameter boost pipe from the turbo to intercooler and "maybe" running an intake system forward from the turbo to the front bumper. GTM's engine mount design is perfect for my needs. I've been holding off doing my clutch so I can accomplish all of this at one time. Part is now ordered and I'm pumped, should have a lot more results after I break the clutch in. :happydance:

Pics of the mount and the amount of room it clears up!
