Thanks guys! :tiphat:

I should be bringing the Z home tomorrow from storage but won't really start driving till April...Montreal is Pothole city right now :eekdance:

No picture of my new tires (RE-11's) since I had Tire Tack ship them to the shop that will install but I got a little "to do" pile that I'll start playing with over the next week or two

I installed my lip and front emblem a few days ago. Definitely helps balance out the car.

It just sucks that my condo parking is so steep, I can get out fine by angling but coming in, no way to get in without scraping hardcore....

I dream of getting a cup kit lol.

TheGreatOne 06-18-2013 08:51 AM

Well been busy with a move and I stupidly agreeded to do all the painting plus to add to that I agreed to do another Muay Thai fight next month (July 13th) so I've been missing many meets and not having alone time with my Z...I just get to drive her and thats it..

Taking some days off sooon so we can have alone time, I can get the coilovers installed, get her really detailed, etc :)

I got some pics for now....I'm actually looking for a Motordyne M370 if someone knows someone selling...

Last pics is from a show that got rained out...got invited to be part of a booth which was nice.

Thanks bro :)

No idea what to do next, I'm thinking do some minor little things to enhance the Z

- Illuminated door sills (actually orderd those already)
- Hood Dampers
- Stainless steel brake lines

oh and need to re-clear my dull CR mirror covers I bought.

simota1 06-18-2013 03:36 PM

hood dampers are a great mod man.... i miss mine dearly.... :( i hate the donkey stick each time i work on my z... and then maybe stainless brake lines

TheGreatOne 09-24-2013 07:18 AM

Well I haven't updated this in ages lol.

Was extremely busy, missed so many car meets and events, I didn't even do Time Attack this season and I bought sick tires for it :(

Recently someone local was parting out and sold his Z, I took his Carbon Signal Type N spoiler off his hands, never thought I needed more wing but this is subtle with a beautiful Duckbill to it. I only test fit it so far...will install this week...

Oh and on the highway heading to the border Sunday I lost my lip, it flew off, I guess going 230km was too much lol. Oh wells, serves me right. Bright side, easier to get in my garage now hahaha. Video of me getting into garage before

Not at all, it slides right on top of the stock wing snugly. I have 3M on it and its not going anywhere.

Love it

How about weight? Does it make the trunk even more heavy? I know it's CF but still..

Actually good question, when you hit the button to pop the hatch, it doesn't "always" pop completely. The Z must be truly fine tuned to not pop too strongly.

So what I do is as I pop the trunk I have my pinky on the trunk to push up at the same time...minor annoyance, no biggie

I think there is a mod in the DIY section about adding pennies or something to make the trunk pop stronger/more consistent.

TheGreatOne 10-11-2013 12:54 PM

The wing itself is stupid light though, so the trunk pop mechanism is definitely sensitive

Awesome good to know, I already have to do that with just the OEM. So adding it wouldn't make a difference.. I was worried that it would add even more weight to it.

Thanks for the info!

Theres a DIY here that shows you how to take out a weight behind the back lid plastic. That would probably lighten back up for you guys.

here's the link...

btw....LOVE the Duckbill. I'm keeping an eye out for one on my 40th!

TheGreatOne 10-16-2013 06:37 PM

Couple pics from the Z Society cruise we did this past Sunday

Outside of that nothing really new. Storage is soon upon us, so making me sad. So any chance I get, I am taking the Z...I usually put her away 3rd week of November...longer than most it seems

I am picking up my KellyFields hood struts on the weekend and the baby and wife will be out of town, so that means car time and board meetings (rippers ;) ) lol

You may have noticed no ING+1 lip...flew off...I took a chance and bought the $50 EZ-lip off Ebay which is essentially a nice strip of rubber that you can cut to size and has 3M tape...does the job...I'll think of a another lip over the winter.

thanks! I'm pumped about that! :) I just got my Stillen Gen 3 and am sending it off to my powdercoater to match the pipes to the car. Contemplating getting an aerojacket Type III too. Not sure I'll do anything with the wheels yet until I can do the coil overs and camber plates along with it. You and some of the other guys here with 40th's are REALLY showing me the possibilities! can't wait to do more! :happydance:

Ya thats a good idea, I forget his name but there was another member selling his Injen's that he powdercoated to match the 40th a week or two ago..I would have jumped on them but was too slow lol.

I dropped mine on the stock wheels for awhile. great thing is the 40th looks pretty good with the stock wheels, so if you can wait it out, might as well do it all at once and do it right

I saw those too. They were painted though and had some scratches. Probably from the intall or disassembly. I definitely want to powdercoat mine. They will hold up better to damage.

That's good to hear. I would've looked more closely into it if I'd know the fitment was so good. One thing I can't permit myself to do is drill into the sport wing.

Looking nice man, but I can't believe how close you come to scraping while getting in your garage. :(

Yup fitment is spot on, everything I've gotten from Carbon Signal has been amazing. I was happy I didn't have to drill also!

I know, I cringe everytime going into the garage...actualy now, I can get in ok, its getting out, seems I am scraping my lovely FI cans :(

Wife doesn't understand wanting to move over a garage haha

Ya, the front plate is a bit of a buzz kill. That motorized licence plate retractor thing is pretty cool though. Seen a member or two with it.
