Ya, I noticed the elbow/divot thing too lol. So not a fan either, worried it might wear out the material...but its so comfy! So where do you leave your arm now?:icon17:

I guess you can straight arm like a cool guy or when i'm in traffic i have my arm in my lap holding the bottom of the steering wheel

I've forced myself to just rest it on the armrest or in my lap instead of up on the sill. I also do the left-handed gangsta lean if I'm feeling feisty!

Ya a few people asked that, Could have went to 7200 and I would have seen more power. Seeing 270 as a baseline would have been more satisfying than seeing 260. Johnny didn't want to push it to much

I think we'll go higher when I go back with 94.

TheGreatOne 07-19-2012 06:59 PM

Small update, nothing too crazy.

I haven't gone back for the re-tune yet, 2 weeks I think

I have decided to install my INGs+1 Replica lip...I realized I need it to even out the look. No mounting holes per most reps so will need some work aka extra $$$ plus paint

http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w...iction/Lip.jpg

Picked up a nice HJC helmet for Time Attack. Hopefully I use it a few times before the season is over lol

Most recent rolling shots, engine bay etc

Seeing this pic is the one that made me realize I need to install that lip

MD-370z 07-19-2012 09:22 PM

Hopefully...guy in the club got rid of his G37 and now has a GTR and raves about icar so I want to check it out.

I want to get into some more "official" lapping next year...icar have Time Attack nights like the autodrome?

Ya, I quickly realized sharing helmets is pretty damn gross lol. :barf:

Plus I can use it for go karting in winter :)

Bigviet23 07-20-2012 08:46 AM

Where did you get the ings+1 replica lip and how much did it cost? If you don't mind me asking. Love that lip. Your car looks awesome

Thanks man

I would have gotten the original CF INGs but I'm pretty sure i'll damage this one in no time at all lol.

A company called Nextmod sells them. nextmod.com, it was $230 when I got it. A little more rough around the edges than other replicas imo

M3_lover 07-22-2012 07:33 PM

sick car dude keep it safe

MD-370z 07-22-2012 09:15 PM

I'm a member there so there is timing. But I you are in the higest group on Tuesday there is overtakin everywhere so you can get your adrenaline going. The gtr under steers a lot at icar it's to heavy its a tight technical track so great to improve skills.

Ahhh, nice. Well I guess I'll practice on Sunday nights and work my way up to that for next year!! I have to come watch a session

TheGreatOne 08-17-2012 08:44 AM

Still haven't put the lip on, maybe by next week...should have more time

I updated a thread in the Wheels section, but some progress pics on my wheels by ISS Forged :)

Outside of getting these, some tires and putting the lip on, might be the last things I do before she goes into storage this winter. The wheels will make a huge change on the car though.

I figure I'll save some stuff for next year lol.

TheGreatOne 09-21-2012 09:37 PM

^^^
Thanks guys

Well just some iPhone pics for now...might get some decent ones at the Monday night meet

Picked em up Monday, most of them fit in the back of the wife's X5.

http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w...psa46cd20a.jpg

Opened one box, just like the pictures. They were super light weight. :D

http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps6769abc4.jpg

Went to Spark Motoring in Laval to mount my tires. Love those guys, awesome work!

One issue, seems like the fronts are not really 19x10. They are more like 19x9.5 and the rears are more like 19x10.5 instead of 11. So speaking to ISS about this. I was still able to mount the 305's I had in back. Good thing I had trouble finding 285's, I put my existing 275's in front and it still looks a little fat. When I get my RE-11's for lapping next year, I'll go smaller with a 265 in front.

Outside of that, this is them:

Loving the build! 40th is my fav

TheGreatOne 10-10-2012 03:18 PM

Well nothing super new, just some updated better pics

- Should be doing a shoot with an online magazine this week, so excited for that! :)
- Have some CF window switch panels coming in from Carbon Fiber Element soon, might be my last mod before the car goes away for winter
- Over winter will collect all parts needed for more serious tracking next year, woot!

Trying to keep it classy.

Not sure what to do next...I want coilovers (must have) but debating on headers since I'm staying NA...

TheGreatOne 10-12-2012 08:26 AM

Probably last mod for the season before winter storage, switch panels from Carbon Fiber Element

Amuse370z 10-12-2012 01:25 PM

IMO, the front would look better with a lip

Oh ya I agree, feels like something is missing right now

I had an ING+1 Replica in FRP but sold it so I can buy the real INGS+1 in Carbon Fiber

Carbon Fiber Element 10-13-2012 10:13 AM

Lookin good man!

Mr&Mrs 10-14-2012 02:11 AM

Ya, I think I'll have to get that lip over winter, test fit for sure

unfortunately, FML :shakes head:, did this to myself in my condo parking like an idiot...tried to get fancy when parking my car lol.

I usually back in, but wanted to go in forward....guess the speed bump on the driver side is a touch higher. Fawk

TheGreatOne 12-30-2012 09:14 PM

TheGreatOne 01-23-2013 11:25 AM

Small update, adding to my spring install pile :D

By the way, its -40 here Celsius (with the windchill), which is -40 F. thinking of driving the Z right now is but a dream lol.

Coilovers: Acquired!

Stance GR+ True Coilovers

http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w...on/Stance2.jpg

EVO-R CF Emblems

For front and rear, getting rid of the shiny chrome Nissan hamburgers will be nice

http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w...on/Emblem1.jpg

Can't wait to see how the handling will be improved with the coilovers, not to mention setting the perfect height/ride.

I figure some RE-11's, Hotchkis sways and the coilovers, I should be glued to the track this year.

GaleForce 01-23-2013 11:43 AM

Damn, I should have jumped on those coil overs. They look brand new!

Ya, they really are mint, he wasn't kidding.

Well you've had your hands full with that sexy turbo build of yours! :yum:

nogoodname 01-23-2013 12:09 PM

You're gonna like the coils for sure. Going from lowering springs to coilovers is a nice mod.

TheGreatOne 03-03-2013 03:06 PM

Picked up some EVO-R Carbon Fiber mirror covers, might re-clear them as they look a bit dull

My Z got an online feature for the Month of March which is pretty cool. Gave me a little interview and some high quality shots :D
