It's all good man, it takes time. One thing I did when I lowered it was I took the front air guards off the under side of the front bumper. Before my drop I scraped going up my race ramps, after the drop and taking the air guards off I don't scrape  3 x10mm bolts on each one and cuts wayyyy down on the scraping!

My car never came with them installed :icon17:

Just scratched the passenger side skirt a bit.

Haha I want to see you get in/out of my driveway now that you are lowered... We know what happened last time when you backed out and forgot to angle. :rofl2:

In all seriousness though - I ended up having to buy some new curb ramps so mine could make it up the driveway. I left my front splitter and air guards on so I knew when to take it slow.

Yeah that would be fun to do :ugh2:

I never really have to deal with drive ways since I park in the lot at my apartment complex. The driveways that I do occasionally deal with are no where near as steep as yours. :icon17:

Yeah it was done around 9. Took like 2.5 hrs to do the alignment and resurface my brake rotors. Cost $50 for the alignment and $60 for the rotors. Definitely loving the new alignment with the zero toe setup, thanks for the recommendation Dan

Here's a teaser pic from right after the alignment, you can definitely see the drop now.

looks good man. Glad to hear the alignment is working for you.

I think you will really notice a difference once you get on some tight twisties.

Well it starts at 8 AM and lasts through the afternoon I think. It's at Prince George's Stadium in Bowie.

birdmanx1 09-29-2011 08:49 PM

D*mn, what time will you be there? This is going to be tricky. I'll be down in Vienna in the morning for half an hour then meet a friend in Laurel, then make it to Columbia and hang out with my uncle hmmm...

I have to be there at 8 am I think if I want to run and I will be there for the morning and afternoon sessions if I can. Don't know what time I will actually be running though.

birdmanx1 09-29-2011 09:02 PM

No worries mang! I'll text when I know what's up exactly!

Good luck bro

Any predictions? My front tires are 12 lbs lighter than before, but I don't know if that will make any difference.

I would love to finally beat my stock time, but I'll be happy with something in the low 13's. 13.2 is my goal for today.

shadoquad 09-30-2011 12:18 PM

9.7

Given the temps I think you can run low 13s tonight.

Actually, with the G3s and the CBE you might be able to dip back into the 12s.

That would be awesome! Over the next month, I'm gonna look for days with low temps and try to head out to a well prepped track those days to try and get a really good time before the season ends.

b1adesofcha0s 09-30-2011 12:45 PM

New goal: beat Steve's 5.0 1/4 mile time :rofl2:

That would send shockwaves througout the 5.trolling on this forum.

hahaha it would, but um... good luck... need me to take out your passenger seat for weight reduction?

Nah. If I was modded and you beat my time that'd mean I am just a bad driver.

lol so what we're saying here is, a stock Mustang with an intake is slower than a 370z with intakes, exhaust, no passenger seat or spare tire, and a driver who is 50 lbs or so lighter. :roflpuke2:

I'll take that as a win.

b1adesofcha0s 09-30-2011 12:48 PM

Didn't realize tracks were open as late as November/December.

What? I never ran with an intake.

And b1ades is like 100 lbs lighter. :bowrofl:

Yeah, snow isn't really a big deal 'til December-January-February and part of March.

m4a1mustang 09-30-2011 12:50 PM

BTW Dan and I were telling him he needs to remove the passenger seat for his next run. That's a good 70 lbs there. We also wanted to remove the hatch and rear bumper. :icon17:

Not today, but we can do it when I do my serious all out run later.

Yeah and the fanboys would buy it too.

But if you did beat my stock time I will just go out and run on slicks and post a modded time. I can run 11's easy on ET streets. Trackshun is my issue. :icon17:

I think I will really try it some day (just the seat). That plus all the stuff in the trunk is a good 100 lbs off the car.
