Then we can treat I-495 like the Wangan in Tokyo. Just gotta watch out for those pesky black turbo Porsche 911's. :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

Sorry bro I couldn't resist. I got the need, the need for speed :driving:

Also thought it would be better to buy the bumper after winter and not put it through months of driving through snow and salty roads. I'll let the old one absorb all that abuse.

Your right its better to go through salt and snow fast!!!! :ugh2:

Swifts have arrived at Kirk's Garage! Going to be installed tomorrow evening :woot:

b1adesofcha0s 09-13-2011 11:27 PM

Spring install has been delayed till Saturday. :(

It was taking us too much time to do it tonight. Got one spring on one of the struts and then realized it wasn't aligned properly so it wouldn't go in right. We decided to put one of Kirk's old stock strut/spring in its place and just work on the rest this Saturday.

Masa 09-14-2011 02:02 AM

Damn that sucks. The fronts were a pain for me to do as well and that was with a hydraulic compressor. Must be a PITA if you and Kirk are using manual spring compressors. I can stop by Sat and help out too if you want. All I have planned is an oil change in the morning.

b1adesofcha0s 09-14-2011 06:21 AM

Sure why not. I'll let you know what time we're doing it. Will probably be around 11am to noon.

b1adesofcha0s 09-14-2011 12:13 PM

Update: Sent payment for a different set of intakes, which will hopefully be shipped later this evening. Also bought this heat wrap for the intakes:

Amazon.com: Thermo-Tec 13995 2" X 50' Roll Thermo-Shield: Automotive

b1adesofcha0s 09-14-2011 08:33 PM

Intakes have shipped

Those are some sexxxy Z taillights.

370zFORme!! 09-15-2011 12:00 AM

Glad you got the springs safely man, make sure you use the rubber spring condom that is on your oem springs. Swifts require you to remove the oem ones and install them on the swifts.

Thanks man, I'm glad I was able to get them from you!

Yeah we did remember to take that rubber off the oem spring and put it on the swift, but thanks for the reminder. :)

Can't wait to have them finally installed! Should be on before my day at the drag strip on the 30th.:D

birdmanx1 09-15-2011 09:31 AM

Cool beans. You're gonna smoke them in your 3.7 ;)

Masa 09-15-2011 09:31 AM

Intakes shouldn't take more than 45 mins to do. The time consuming part will be cutting the holes.

Masa 09-17-2011 07:35 PM

Looks good man. Mine didn't fully settle until about a week and a half after install. Hold off on alignment till then.

Thanks for giving me such a great deal on them!

You can't really see the drop much in those photos, but in person you definitely notice it. I'll get some updated pics once it settles and I get the alignment done.

Oh yeah I need to get used to driving a lowered car now. I foresee some more bumper incidents :icon17:

Red__Zed 09-17-2011 09:24 PM

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e3...1/DSC_1868.jpg

you will get plenty of these-- rash on left side, missing air dams, etc...unless you learn to angle.

And then you'll do what I did and lower the car even more, and even angling won't save you

b1adesofcha0s 09-17-2011 09:27 PM

I already have rushes on both sides of the bumper and my air dams are sitting in my room. They were never installed and no point in doing it now. Luckily I don't really have any uphill driveway or speed bumps I deal with regularly so I should be ok most of the time.

docaam 09-18-2011 12:15 AM

Congrats on the drop
