The color looks perfect bro! I would probably do black lugs or maybe color match them.

It looks a little different in the pics because of the lighting. It looks a little too close to the car color IMO. A want it a bit darker so it has more contrast with the body, sort of like how it looked with the plasti dipped color. I was thinking of maybe doing red lugs to match the brakes. Though I do like how they look as is with the silver center cap.

just be aware that you will chip lug nut paint, so pick something that mixes well with silver.

car looks good, btw

I'm probably gonna leave it as is. Thanks

Might paint the headlight housing soon if the local headlight painting party goes well. After that I'm thinking sway bars and UpRev tune.

I used wheel paint from a spray can. Had to sand the wheels, then primer, paint, and clear coat. The paint didn't go on smoothly the first time because of the high temps/humidity so I had to refinish them. To do that, I wet sanded them and then put on some clear coat again to finish them off.

Here is the paint I used, but I used the graphite color. Got it from Autozone.

Yea, looks like the paint didn't react well. Car looks good though.

Thanks. I did think about just redoing the paint as well, but couldn't find a better color and didn't have time to do it that same day. It's not perfect, but it still looks good enough for me. You don't really notice anything wrong unless you look at it up close.

b1adesofcha0s 09-21-2012 02:38 PM

Updated the first posts to include the painted wheels. Also gonna be painting my headlights tomorrow. Want to black out the housing and do the shrouds in gun metal. Either that or do the shrouds in black too.

b1adesofcha0s 09-25-2012 10:42 AM

Got my headlights painted this past Saturday. Did the housing in black and the shrouds in a light gun metal. The color of the shrouds ended up lighter than the car's color (I wanted it to be darker), but it still looks good. Had an incident with one of the lights where the lens was melted in the oven. At this point I'm just gonna leave it as is, but I might buy a used headlight later down the road to swap out the lens.

Just ordered some Eibach sway bars. Hoping to get them this week and install them this weekend.

b1adesofcha0s 12-13-2012 09:58 AM

Well I got the Eibach sways installed last week. Sorry no pics, was in a bit of a hurry. Set it to the soft setting in the front and middle setting in the rear. Steering feels a lot tighter and sharper, but I won't really get the full effect of the sway bars until it gets warmer and I get summer tires back on the Z. It was still a pretty noticeable difference in the handling/steering. At least as much of an effect as installing the swifts were, if not more. Highly recommend them

Mr&Mrs 12-13-2012 04:03 PM

I always go into a project thinking of doing a DIY and pics, then half way thru it DOH! I realize I forgot from trying to hurry lol

Yeah this just happens to be one of those mods that you can't see once you're done installing it.

kz34wa 08-22-2014 08:08 AM

any issues with the front lip being to low or scraping?

I'm lowered on eibach springs and installing my evo-r front lip soon.

b1adesofcha0s 08-22-2014 08:49 AM

I have definitely scraped it a bunch on times on steep driveways. Just gotta be very careful with those.

Subscribing.

Well I haven't updated this thread in a while. I am getting ready to sell the Z now and it is mostly back to stock. Only things I left on there were the HFCs and the Eibach sways.

I did finally get a chance to take my Z to ZDayZ last month and it was a lot of fun. I think it was a great way to end my Z ownership. My next car has been ordered already so you guys will have to stay tuned to see what comes next. All aboard the hype train, choo choo!

I did kind of leave everyone hanging with that last post, but I ended up having to cancel my car order. I did finally buy it this past weekend, though I went the used route instead of new this time. Will be posting a separate build thread for it soon.
