Hey guys:

My NISMO shipped yesterday, on it's way to Zerolift Autolab in Fairfield, OH for some TT goodness. I will update the first post with pix as progress is made. I am currently overseas and have quite a while to go, so this is the perfect time to make it happen.

All buttoned up and ready to go see the wizard

Update:

I decided to make the trip out to Zerolift. There was a minor SNAFU (seems like the norm these days). My ECU took a crap. Somehow there was water in the connector. Nissan is replacing it under warranty though. So off to the dealer this morning to have it replaced and then to the dyno for tuning. Today should be a good day! I will post the dyno results as soon as possible. I snapped a couple pix while I was in the shop, but I was a little late updating this post. Anyway, here are the pix of my baby and one of my favorite S13s.

Tuning / Dyno update:

Took the trip to UPREV to get my tune fixed. I have a small issue though. Possible vacuum leak, exhaust leak, or MAF sensor issue. I believe that it is the latter, but I hope that is not the case. Anyway the dyno sheet. Looks like Omar took a screenshot of it. I have no idea what the filetype is for a dyno graph.

I wish... all though I enjoy having a very quick NA car, i can not imagine the fun I would have with TT.... But my foot + my habbits + 500ish whp may = trouble for me hahaha

In for updates and such! Congrats on taking the big step!

indodarknight 07-09-2011 03:15 PM

OOOooo... TT as in twin goodness???

nice!!!

roplusbee 07-09-2011 11:06 PM

Quick update.....

Mike confirmed receipt of the car. The NISMO is officially safe @ Zerolift.....WOOHOO!

Red__Zed 07-10-2011 06:45 AM

Very cool

roplusbee 07-20-2011 06:37 AM

I'm in the process of stitching shops. I am coordinating movement of my car to GTM for a proper install. Stay tuned.......

Vapiano 07-20-2011 08:14 AM

Did you use the strut braces when shipping the car?

roplusbee 07-20-2011 11:36 AM

No. The driver took all but one car off to get the ramp low enough to put mine on....

Vapiano 07-20-2011 07:59 PM

Nice, gotta love great customer service!

roplusbee 07-30-2011 09:46 AM

Quick update:

So I have been talking w/ Sam @ GTM and he has already set up a package for my install. However, I am still waiting on Zerolift to give me their parts list / invoice. I sent Mike @ Zerolift a message to contact GTM and meet somewhere in the middle. Hopefully, this doesn't get painful......

red6spd 07-30-2011 09:58 AM

In for updates.... You lucky SOB LOL.

roplusbee 07-31-2011 12:59 AM

So it looks like I may be leaning more toward the Greddy kit even though a lot of folks have gone w/ GTM. I will make my final decision once I get my invoice from Zerolift. We'll see what happens soon............

roplusbee 08-09-2011 02:44 AM

These parts are confirmed:

Greddy TT Kit
Competition Clutch Twin Plate
Custom Setrab oil cooler setup
Greddy diff cover

Still up for debate:

Fuel system
EMS
Gauge setup

And a quick pick at Zerolift......

roplusbee 08-10-2011 09:44 AM

I'm gonna do my best to stay with and/or run away from the competition without blowing up, lol.

How goes the quest for coolness?

The CSF radiator gets here today. Still unsure about upgrading the thermostat. Car goes to my friend's garage before the weekend.

That's wassup. I may follow your footsteps on the radiator as well. Never can be too careful.

I informed Zerolift about my activity in the forums and let them know that they could post stuff in this thread or F/I section if they have an account or membership. I am sure that folks would like the info. Either way, I will be making a full blown build threat once everything is said and done. Hopefully, I can dispel the myth of JB turbos being inferior to BB turbos. :ugh2:

also interested to whether why u went with greddy over gtm

roplusbee 10-06-2011 07:50 AM

The GTM kits are selling like hotcakes and are proven to yield good results. However, I needed to know that there were others out there and I did a rack of research. Would I have been happy with GTM? More than likely yes. I have read and heard good things about the Greddy kit. I know it costs more, but I am sure that it will fit the bill. I really wanted to go custom, but my pockets aren't deep enough for that........

Mini update:

Spoke with Mike from Zerolift and the build is almost complete. Just waiting on a couple pieces to finish off the installation and start tuning. Should have some pix to post up in the after new years.

Also spoke with Tony from Fast Intentions and looks like I will be running a 3" TDX after all. I was going to go with the Greddy TiC in the meantime and re-tune later, but Tony is the magic man once again. More to follow shortly.....:excited:

RoshDawg 12-30-2011 06:29 PM

Zerolift 4 is suchhhh a sick pic. Sweet ride man

roplusbee 04-12-2012 10:14 AM

So I really hope I am jumping the gun here, but I may have to take different approach to complete my build. My car was supposed to have been completed (according to plans made before I deployed) by the end March. So, I charged it to the game and let Zerolift know my drop-dead date. I have been trying to get trick parts as well since it has taken so long to get things going. Anytime I worked something out for a FORUM VENDOR to coordinate with Zerolift to get access to my car, it would fall by the wayside. Today I sent a message to the owner/manager Mike Bailey askin for proof that parts have been ordered and/or anything installed. By the way, yesterday I spoke with his associate Robert. He said that he didn't have any details, but he was the one that I worked with on the parts list and invoice. I also stated that pictures would be the best proof. I will be calling him today and either get this thing going to meet my drop-dead date or return my car and my money.

Sad part about this is that everytime I trust a shop to do work that I COULD DO MYSELF, I get screwed. I just pray that it this not the case this time. I really don't need this while I am out here in this place. We will see how the concersation with Mike goes when I call later.

98intrigue 04-12-2012 02:39 PM

I don't want to hear that! It has been quite awhile since the car was dropped off. Have they provided you with any pictures of the progress? I hope for the best...I know you've been anxiously waiting.

roplusbee 04-12-2012 09:47 PM

So I talked to Mike today shortly after posting earlier. He said that his goal is to have the car done by the end of the month. Looks like he got a prototype twin disk clutch from Competition Clutch to be used on my car. Hopefully it works out. If not, the OS Giken will be installed. I haven't seen any proof, but he said that all of the parts are in minus the injectors. I am supposed to contact him on Wed/Thurs to get an update. I just really want this to work out and not have to go thru getting a refund and hunting down parts AGAIN. Hell, I would even settle for them sending my me car back, the parts they have acquired, and a partial refund if it doesn't work out as planned. I have my fingers crossed though! We will see about the pix soon.

roplusbee 05-02-2012 09:32 PM

So the proof will be in the pudding. I will be having the car shipped back to TX whether it is complete or not. The car should be picked up on May15th.

Phaddi_inc 05-02-2012 09:46 PM

goodluck man, interested to hear how it works out.

I just got off the phone with Mike from Zerolift. He stated that the Greddy kit was successfully installed and they are just waiting on the Competition Clutch Twin Disk to button it all up. They received the F.I. 3" TDX on Friday and should be good to hook. Hopefully, things will be all wrapped up by the 1st like he is saying....................

Update:

The build is going at full speed now and is very near completion. The May 16th deadline was sorely missed, but should be wrapped up in the next week or so. Here are the pix that they sent me (also editted the OP).

It also seems that ZL's new mechanic has installed a few of the Greddy TT kits and made 610 WHP on a G37S. I am not going to push my luck any further than necessary though. Gonna keep it conservative until I can build a motor to take the extra abuse.

More goodies guys............almost done. One minor hiccup though. My ECU **** the bed. Somehow, water got in there. We were all baffled. For now, I'm hanging out with the fellas @ Zerolift in Fairfield, OH!
