I picked up a set of canards and side winglets to add to my splitter.

I'll try to post a pic tonight, but I've been waiting for my new lip to be finished being painted.

Ah! I tried... but the wind was blowing so bad it didn't turn out well. I'll try to do another one soon when the weather is better. Since it's not my daily, it's always night time by the time I get home.

Looks really good man, as usual! Those new front pieces look great, especially in contrast with the wheels and painted splitter. Got any videos of that exhaust in action yet?

Oh yeah and I've got a question for you, when you replace your front splitter, how do you line up the splitter to the previously drilled holes in your bumper? Do you just make a template first?

You just line up the new lip to the old holes in the bumper and drill it.

Sounds risky though. You're basically taking your best guess of where to drill at that point. If you're off by a little you've ruined it. I'd think making a template would be the smartest way.

With the bumper off you can mark the holes through the bumper with a sharpie on the lip. You and a friend should be able to line it up and tape it in place with some painters tape, mark your holes and drill them out.

There is no per-defined location to mount the lip.. you stick it on in the best spot so the gaps are as little as possible. Then drill through the bottom of it. You can't see any of the holes, and the stock sport splitter isn't going to line up anyway.

All in all was a great weekend. I drove the car 1200 miles, hung out with a ton of friends from all over the country and got my Z shot for a feature in S3 Magazine!

It's a CF Black Top Aero wing. It is slightly larger than the OE sport wing.
