I wouldn't put it past misprint, which is why i only claimed that i thought i read they were those sizes. :D
I thought it was odd though that they left the staggered for a non-staggered setup |
New set of Nitto NT05 tires showed up today! 275/35/18 front 285/35/18 rear. We'll see how the less staggered setup does August 1st & 2nd. We'll also find out if running a wider and stickier tire up front will uncover any more weaknesses with the car. Hopefully not, fingers crossed. My biggest concern to be quite honest is the SPC Camber arms either hitting the top of the wheel wells and/or not holding the alignment settings under hard load.

Mike, you should be able to check the wheel well for impact marks when you swap tires before this event, correct? Keep us posted!

Just ordered an Unorthodox Racing stock diameter crank pulley! According to them, this will shed 7 lbs. of rotating mass off of the front of the car resulting in quicker revs, better throttle response, and more freed up horsepower. They are also claiming gains of 10-14 horsepower, but I am assuming that is at the crank, not at the wheels. We'll find out soon enough!

Even at the crank I'd be surprised if it made that much. I dyno'd the Stillen UD pulley at +5whp on a DynoJet. But like you said, we'll find out soon enough. |

But doesn't pulley diameter come into play as well? Smaller diameter = less power diverted to the auxiliary systems, right? I think that's what wstar is getting at.
