On the angled part of the shroud, facing the nose of the car. You might consider drilling some decent sized holes in there to get airflow on the pan. The Nismo version has a vent cut in it for that same purpose.

Nice upgrades!
Glad to see more of the Thai Tanium pieces. Lots of hype on FB, but I haven’t really seen anything about these or the TPs. Good looking piece though! Let us know how it sounds. |
I ordered an external mic for my DSLR to do before and after clips.
Idk if I want to do just the y pipe or not.... maybe haha but definitely current set up Vs new set up |

Car doesn’t feel as strong... ran my friends 2002 SS with intake and exhaust, no tune... dead even. What the hell... contact my tuner, send him logs... says the cars running way leaner than he had it.
WTFFFFF!?!? .... I don’t even know where to start |

Same gas, shell 93. I do have that fang air mod that has the tubes running from the fangs to the filters to get more air. It DID have that while being tuned. But driving on the street vs sitting on a dyno with a fan I imagine is a large difference... but could it be that big of a difference to make the car run “way leaner” and lose a significant amount of power? |

I reset the ecu per his request and re ran the logs. This is his response:
“the tune is perfect now. The sluggishness you were feeling is due to the long term fuel trims degrading the original tune. It seems as the long term trims were taking fuel away from the tune which caused it to lean out the full throttle portion. Is your PCV deleted currently or are you running the stock PCV setup?“ I told him I’m running dual catch cans, he advised: “remove the catch cans and run a proper PCV delete so we can track how the long term trims are moving” So, we’ll see what happens I guess |

Per my tuner, I removed my dual catch can set up and installed a pcv delete kit. I went with EPS tuning as it seemed the most legit. A little expensive, but it looks nice. I saved about 3.5 lbs off the front end of the car by doing this, yaaaaayy! ... but I did notice a larger amount of oil than I expected. The picture is the oil from both catch cans together, and over a period of about 3 months.
Does it look right, or excessive to you guys? |
