Went out to the shop and tried to fit in the Tinker Electronics display. I think Jason Gale's cubby might be slightly off from my cubby because I cracked one of the legs that go out to a screw hole. I'm not terrible worried because I can just epoxy that and all will be good. The cubby mount as a whole is pretty good fitment, not perfect. There is a slight gap at the top but I can put some black foam there and no one will know... other than me just telling you. All-in-all, it looks really good.

Now this brings me to the point where I MIGHT cut the mounting tabs and cut a hole into my old cubby to see if I can tighten everything up. After that, I will cast a mold and then make a forged carbon fiber mold of the mount. This is to be done AFTER my car is running. No more delays.

I also bought a bunch of pre cut 3" pies for my exhaust going out the front bumper. Two pre welded 90deg pies were also done bought. Less work at this point, the better.

You may also have noticed I haven't been getting out to the garage and working on my car. That's because I have had pet going down hill for the last few months and I wanted to honor the time with her as long as I could. My wife and I celebrated Cally's long life of 21.5 years. I couldn't ask for a better companion through half of my life.

Sorry to hear about your Furbaby. They always hold a dear place in our hearts. You will see her again at the Rainbow bridge.

Losing a furry kid is always tough. Sometimes I think I have more feelings for them then I do for people.

I'll start off with saying this. Jason Gale did amazing work! BUT, I found a little something on my Tinker Electronics display mount that I'd like a little different. The legs on the mount pushed into the plastic vents making a slight bulge. Now, I could have just buzzed off some of the extra material to settle everything down but I have OEM mounts available to me... and a crazy idea. What's new, right?

The crazy idea is to hack off the legs and adapt the oem legs onto Jason's mount. That's a lot of work for OEM mount points. You would be correct. It also introduces the possibility of errors. Caution to the wind, I've decided to make a Forged Carbon Fiber cubby mount. To do that, I need to make a cast mold of the mount, so I figured having OEM mounts would be worth the risk.

Getting started, I had to hack off the mounts from the cubby. I had originally tried to keep the whole cubby ring around but that didn't really work out for testing fitment. The legs were cut off separate. The plastic legs were sanded with my 35grit air sander so that I could lay in the cubby mold to the plastic and epoxy it.

I decided to do the drivers side to start with. The mold was eyeballed and taped into position while the other side was screwed down. My thought on this was to align the unit center because Jason had that part figured out. My only issue is a slight depth issue on the new mount near the bottom. The good news is that I didn't go full hog with the epoxy so I have some adjustment available to me.

Here's where I'm at so far.

I have a couple small things to fix like round out a corner better and dab in some epoxy in a couple holes near the mount on the top side. It's necessary that the items get fixed for the casting to come out perfect. If I were just to use the mount as-is, I wouldn't mess with it because no one would see it.

As it stands right now, the mount is nearly perfect (see pictures). I have a buddy that does paint work professionally and he offered to spray prime and paint to perfection. I think deep down he doesn't want me to rattle can it... because... I 100% would and did buy the cans already.

Had to do a test fit on the mount. I was very concerned that the lower portion would not line up correctly because the mount legs shifted the display inward. Thankfully the fitment appears to be near perfect. I did a hand off to my buddy for finalization of paint. He informed me that the unit would be put into primer only, and that is totally fine.

I talked to Dave about getting electrical going on the car and it looks like this Saturday I'm going to get rolling on that. We popped the trunk and did a quick inspection of lay out. I have a Braille 21lb battery and mount that's going into the spare tire well and a some cable I need to lay out. The MS3 wireharness is long enough where I can pull the power leads back to the trunk, that's amazing. I'd also like to mention that I found the manual release for the trunk last night so we could inspect the area. That honestly gave me anxiety because I thought we needed to find the electrical lead and hit it with 5v.

Hi, my name is Greg. I have a problem...

CJM, Charles, came out with an anti starvation canaster for the dual pump. My gas tank is drained so I figured why not. I have ran my car out of gas in sweepers and burned up fuel pumps before.

Removed the trunk plastics. Pulled some 1/0, 2/0, MS3Pro wiring and drilled the shut off. Had to order some Grommets so I don't slash the cables in half and managed to find OEM spec.

The shut off is in the car but I forgot to get a picture, it looks really cool. I need to get some pop rivets in the beauty plate yet so I'll grab photos then.

If the wire seems pretty heavy duty... it is. I will not need to worry about too much draw through any of the cables.

Took a little time trying to get he Anti Starve in. I managed to get it out and bug Charles on the weekend.

AN lines are very tight, which had me extremally nervous about removal. They came off easier than I expected... just lots of small wench moves. Also was a bit nerved up about the lines sliding off to the side. I really don't want to drop the tank again...

As it stands now, the anti starve is out. Need to get back out and drop the assembly back in the tank.

No gas in the tank is pretty much my motivational factor here.
