Tee off the brake booster and mount it to the firewall

What's the benefit of doing that, out of curiosity?

Going to the vacuum block or locating it there?

Location of the booster line is on the back of the intake plenum. This leads to ease of T-ing into it and mounting on the firewall.

madwi 04-22-2019 02:26 PM

Snagged some pics before washing it. Tossed on the fuji bumper while I was at it.

I’m banning this thread until that bumper is on and painted. It’s my favorite tbh, but I don’t feel it looks good in white, so I went with amuse. Just don’t ask me if it’s painted and put on. :inoutroflpuke:

I have to drop Eastwest off at the bodyshop to pick up his Z this week. I am planning on dropping this off while there. :excited:

Need to find a black mesh for the opening. I am thinking simple diamond pattern maybe.

Thanks! I ordered some matte black spray paint for the mesh that came with the bumper. hope that darkens the middle area a touch.
Brought up the idea of having the shop install the finite CF fender vents. Im still on the fence of them being too ricey for a street car. :icon17: we'll see.

Hotrodz 07-24-2019 10:25 PM

Nah, I think it will look great!

The Trackspec side only vent's look MUCH better than all 3.

:iagree:
Yeah I am not a big fan of the center vent and I dont NEED the extra cooling so far.

If you are like me, 2-3 years or more. What’s the over/under?

Hotrodz 07-25-2019 06:59 PM

It is generally around a need to do some kind of significant repair or needed upgrade. So two to three years is about right.

Full disclosure, JC might be swinging by this way late summer-early fall. :icon17:

Next trip would definitely be cut in half; unless I get grooving...900mi. seat time each way will wear on you a bit :icon14: :ugh2:

A few of us are meeting up tomorrow for some burgers/dogs and a cruise to the beach at lake michigan. Decided I better get my new tires on the car as the Re-11 are done.
https://i.imgur.com/VnZauVol.jpg

JC had hooked me up with some tires the last time he visited so I finally got them mounted. I went from a 305 on the 11" wheel to a 325. I need to get this straightened out somehow, cause this looks silly. :icon17: Might be an excuse to look at new wheels.

Yep, first on the list is alignment shop and see what it is going to take to get it tucked under a bit.

madwi 07-26-2019 07:25 PM

Gave the grills a coat of matte black. Will give them another coat in the morning.

I think the side vents on the bumper needs LED running lights or something. Going to check around on amazon. Thinking mounting them horizontally.
