Why you think I ask so many questions. Plus oil Gallery gaskets are on borrow time, first production motor.

Like in one of your comments in spoolers post, most people don’t realize how fast 5-600 whp is on the track.

gbrettin 02-06-2019 05:27 PM

Do it right once. Id rather suffer a long build than break down all the time.

I wish you the best of luck with the Ron Davis radiator installation. I purchased a Ron Davis radiator they will not fit your 370Z without major modifications there is not enough room with the condenser. The Ron Davis radiator is not a direct fit radiator. You should have purchased CSF all aluminum triple pass radiator I purchased one for all Z’s they are a direct fit, excellent quality, and all the CSF radiators I had never leaked coolant. The Ron Davis radiator must have set you back a pretty penny as they are over priced.

I knew that coming into purchasing the Ron Davis. It’s a proven radiator, with all the leaks that have been surfacing, I’d rather not chance something lettting loose while I’m on the track. Guy I follow has his installed and running on his boosted Hr. Fits like a charm.

I wish you the best of luck with your Ron Davis radiator installation getting it to fit. My Ron Davis radiator fit like a over sized buck tooth.

What issues have you seen/heard before? Are they posted on this forum?

I would have to search this forum, but I’ve read of them breaking and not holding up to the high levels of torque, also people having to send it back multiple times because they were having issues. Maintenance, bad installations, could be the cause, I have no idea.

Not to hijack the thread here, but CSF does have many misses on the forums. I for one went through 3 of their radiators, all ended up leaking.

I am keeping my factory radiator real close. LOL

Hotrodz 04-25-2019 09:13 PM

The problem is regardless of the radiator and Elmo is not doing CSF, with intercooler in the way air flow is really restricted so having larger radiator you need more air flow. Anyway I am looking forward to Elmo's results.

That’s something I will discuss with them.

Very nice!

I had a chance to get a black one. Now I'm regretting not getting it. Maybe I should do something with mine when I have it out.

Hoping these will aid in front end grip and keep my oil temps stable.

Well I guess I could start this dead thread back up. I’m not as cool or talented as GBrettin “come up” “pag” but the motor is finally completed!

Elmo370z 03-05-2021 12:06 AM

Turbo came in today, guess I’ll be there first or one of the few that will be running a G series turbo on the boosted performance kit.

What are the advantages of the G series turbo, Elmo? Glad to see your build is moving again!

gbrettin 03-05-2021 01:38 PM

You're not missing out on the headaches i've had to endure as a rookie. Tearing down the engine sucked.

Main reason is they can take a pounding, it will live majority of its life on the track. Water jackets for increase cooling, oil
Passages, compact.
