http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...psgyolmzc2.jpg

ran into some issues.. the oem fuel filter/strainer was coming apart, the return line was also disintegrating (leaving debris in the housing) , while trying to get the old pump out one of the housing hat rods broke off

JARblue 07-03-2017 08:07 AM

Glad to see you got it sorted, but those adjusting caps are pretty weak and known to come loose. Kawasaki has a beefy castle nut a number of people have used after having problems with the Nissan adjusting cap, just FYI. This thread has pretty much all the info you need: http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivet...unk-noise.html

SPAL fans install coming soon

blak max 10-04-2017 06:51 PM

Ello gov'na .. got some work done .. finally put the rear apr studs in.. you have to take the axles out to get good access to the hub bolts.. you dont have to take the e-brake apart. Also flushed the brake fluid, and had the spal fans installed to a custom fan shroud

This is also the same reason why using the grommet where all the wires enter the cabin as a way to hook up gauges are a bad idea. The grommet will be worthless and leak water into the cabin unless it is sealed off again with some sort of sealant.

:iagree: I lost an ECU from water coming down through a cut I made to the grommet after a nitrous kit install on my previous HR . I should have applied some rubber sealant

What transmission did you use?

Hey - amazing project - Congrats!

I looked through the thread but couldn't find what transmission you used.

Was it a 6L80 automatic?

Hey thanks.. used a 6l80. I wanted it bc it was one of the newer and I wanted paddle shifting. With more research I could have gone with an upgraded 4l80.

Throwback Thursday !!! I dont think ive shown the beginning pics before. The birth of this idea came at Zdayz one year. bought the car online from a different state. It came with everything but an engine block.
