Thankfully I didn't have any scratch from that.
Hotrodz, I went sideway into a curb. It was the first time I drive the car in a while. Before the incident I heard a metal sound, like a screw or something similar came out. It was my mistake not to check it immediately, but I am not sure if it has any effect on what happened. My speed was a little high, around 60 mph and my focus went somewhere else, and when I saw the street I found myself approaching a small roundabout at speed, tried to brake hard but the car went into ice mode, and the car went sideway to the curb. I had been told the lowered height could trigger the airbags. Initial inspection, two damaged wheels, upper control arm snapped so hopefully the hub, brakes and suspension all alright, same applies to back, I may replace the hubs for peace of mind. Until I take it to the workshop I wouldn't be able to see underneath. I hope nothing happened to the chasis. The only worry is the airbags, the ecu module which is troublesome, I already was planning to change the seats to racing seats, so I am not worrying about it, but the curtain one I think about fixing. And this is the last photo of it at the track  I have until October to repair and hit the track again. http://www.the370z.com/attachment.ph...1&d=1502006538 |
Glad you are okay and no one else was involved. I only take a moment of distraction to cause a world pain. Get her back in shape and to the track. Looking forward to more action on the other side of the planet.

Yup, lesson learned, and it was a relief that nobody else involved in that.
Next season I have a target of haunting GT4s at the track and of course I will record my sessions and any local competitions ;). |

Glad to see you are ok! The car doesn't look too bad minus the side airbag. Glad to see the ZEs held up well.

Rest assured the suspension components were designed to take the impact. Those will bend/break. It takes a lot to bend a subframe. You might as well go ahead and replace the wheel bearings while you're down there. As long as your alignment checks out, you should be good to go!

I will have a follow up post when I have time to take the car to the workshop, hopefully tomorrow. |
sorry to hear about your accident bro! :(

Get her fixed up soon, I like to see the track vids.

Update,
On Wednesday, I had time to take the car to a mechanic, yesterday, he told me after checking everything looks in good condition except the front UCA, traction link, and obviously the wheels. |
Not bad all things considered!
|
I will go tomorrow to check the car and take photos.
I am planning to replace the obvious first, then I will use the car as daily, to check if there is any other issues. I will change the wheel hubs as well for peace of mind. |

After long time and wait, the car still not finished yet
First, many thanks to Russ and Z1 for getting me the stuff I needed with a timely manner, currently, they are on the way. I ordered FUCA, TL, and RCL for passenger side (right side). Also, trying to sell the wheels with no luck, digged the look of 18 inch Advan GT wheels, want to go that way, but I don't want to pull the trigger while having the Volks. Most likely will order new ze40 in place of the damaged ones as nobody locally interested, I wouldn't track a repaired wheel at all. I attached photos of the damaged arm and link, as well as the wheels. |

Also, I received next season brakes and clutch fluid, I went for Castrol SRF instead of Motul 600.
And I have this lurking around http://www.the370z.com/attachment.ph...1&d=1503489076 but I read that it wouldn't fit into the car with interior decor, the shoulder wings will hit the door trim, and the slider will be useless if I used lower base. Also, my shoulder sit as high as the top of harness holes. Looked at the available options, I am leaning toward Cobra seats, to be exact, Imola GT or Suzuka GT with CF back :yum: but not sure if they will fit, they have a little smaller frame than evo 3 but not much smaller.
