Yeah, at the beginning of every season, I feel like I need a couple of track days before I reach where I was and then improve. The great about this season, I have to drive more than 100 laps more than previous seasons.

Thanks, the track was dusty and got lucky with the save. I feel like I forgot how to drive :rofl2: I need to drive more out there.

Where you live at. You always have that blowing sand. I image that it takes a while to get it off the track.

Takes me my first session to get back up to speed. Unless I haven't been to that track for awhile. Then it's takes me longer.

Agreed! I haven't been to the track since Memorial Day or the last weekend in May so I expect much the same in two weeks. It will take a couple of session but should be up to speed after that!

And that's with the Miata. Wait till you get the Z back.

Yes dust is an issue here, Rusty, this was the first event of the season, so nobody used the track before us. The other issue, each track has 3 sessions of 20 mins, not a lot of time to be back on track as quick as possible.

The best days was when it was hosting WTCC, after they race, the grip was freaking amazing.

In that power band! Love it. And inching towards 235 kph? I can dig it.

ZontheRocks 10-01-2019 07:29 AM

Also, "What sav--- OH!" :driving:

And I see the brow-sweat wipe after!

LMAO, when I got the Miata it took me a long time to learn braking points as I was slowing down way to soon and then I had to learn that I could take medium to high speed corners flat out. So it will be exciting going back the other way to say the least!:eekdance:

We have faced a lot of rust in the car, which the agent in US should warned me about, I complained about it, but I am starting working on the car as is so I can participate this season as planned, I will try to resurface and paint some parts, and others I will use and change them later.

Started by doing maintenance to trans and engine, installed the LSD and Clutch/Flywheel. Engine in process, not many mods here, the car came with an SRI and exhaust, so I will reuse them for now, only some maintenance like timing chain and tensioner, spark plugs, serpentine belt... etc.

After that, I will strip it out and install the rollcage.

If the car came from one of the northern states. It will have rust on it.

Yup, looks like this is the case, it was hard to find a 05-06 type s, and any good examples are sold in a heartbeat.
