m4a1mustang 08-01-2014 09:05 AM

I'm excited! We are going to have a TON of food, so I need to be careful not to go overboard on the burgers. :icon17:

I have a set I haven't even used yet. I can bring it. Hopefully I dont forget it...

m4a1mustang 08-01-2014 09:52 AM

We definitely need a wire brush and if anyone has a small container of canola oil or something to rub the grates down with...

Being MAZOC, we could always come up with our own solution...

I'll have some 5W30 with me...

jpkirk 08-01-2014 10:20 AM

If yer just looking for lube I thought FP was bringing a 55 gallon drum of KY.

I have a wire grill brush I will bring as well. I may have the canola oil also. The list gets longer.

Yeah I'll try to remember mine as well. Also some aluminum foil in case the grills are nasty.

Mmmm... bummer ... guess that 5W30 will have to do. Have to go sparingly, I don't think Z_Stig is bringing 55 gallons.

Bring that please. I don't have a spare brush

dmhenderson 08-01-2014 12:07 PM

Welp, Hill's got the wrong valve for the car (unsure as to whether synapse goofed or they did) but the long and short of it is that the car won't be done tomorrow. That said, I already have a contingency plan worked out. Taking the girlfriend's car up in the morning and aniceh is going to pick her up later on so that she doesn't have to sit in the rain with me & Frank.

m4a1mustang 08-01-2014 12:11 PM

I'm going to try to roll out pretty early so you probably won't be sitting there too long by yourself.

aniceh 08-01-2014 02:13 PM

So, when is this thing supposed to really get started? I don't plan to be part of the early crew, but I don't want to be more than fashionably late.

m4a1mustang 08-01-2014 02:26 PM

~10 am.

Was just contemplating that myself. Probably won't get done with my oil change until 9am, then rolling out immediately after. Probably won't get there until around 10:30 or so

Yo, just a head's up: Catoctin Mountain Park Announces Temporary Closures August 2-3, 2014 - Catoctin Mountain Park (U.S. National Park Service)

I don't think this directly affects us, but it may indirectly as folks are being told to picnic where we are planning to meet up.

dmhenderson 08-01-2014 04:30 PM

I'm going to be there at 8am so I doubt it will affect us. I mean, it may end up being more crowded but we'll have our area.

MightyBobo 08-01-2014 04:38 PM

COLUMBIA CRUISE

Alright, as I said in my post way back ago, we're going to follow THIS ROUTE.

We will meet up at Columbia at 8:00, and leave NO LATER than 8:30. If you are close to being late, post up here and I'll be watching it in the morning.

do you have about 30 traffic cones to bring along?? either that or go shirtless, and one shoe off, and stumble around shouting and mumbling to yourself if someone else pulls in. May scare them off....

I plan on getting there at 8ish also. Rain or shine!

b1adesofcha0s 08-01-2014 07:01 PM

If anyone wants an idea of what to bring, we may need plastic cups. Don't think anyone is signed up for them and I'm already home from the store. An extra cooler full of ice would also be helpful for drinks. I picked up 2 cases of water bottles, some paper plates, paper towels, and plastic utensils today.

eastwest2300 08-01-2014 07:13 PM

Its almost showtime fellas..

Vicster 08-01-2014 07:16 PM

Dee is straight exuding excitement right now. :p
