Negative...I walked along the side of the road heading down to the Dam. I did it the second night I camped. After having a group of cars blast past me (probably scared the crap out of them as bad as it did me). I decided break camp and crash in a cabin since I knew additional partying would be taking place.

Has anyone ever gotten their money back after paying for ZdayZ?

Yes. I've contacted some of the ZdayZ committee and no one has responded yet.

no problem. there's actually a large zdayz FB group on there.

Mike 04-07-2014 08:06 PM

Bryan is in canada this week with limited interweb though

Crux 04-17-2014 04:36 PM

My brakes have about 40% life left up front (rotors and pads), and 20% life left at the rear.

Will driving the dragon kill what life is left on my brakes/should I replace my rotors and pads before zdayz?

(EDIT): I have very little autocross experience.

sig11 04-17-2014 04:47 PM

Best to have more than you need. I had my XP10s smoking my first year... You'll probably be fine though.

Crux 04-17-2014 06:19 PM

Thank you :tiphat:

FPenvy 04-18-2014 08:33 AM

I'm doing the same soon. I still got some meat on my pads but I'm at 31k miles on the stock ones. Figured it's better just to throw new ones on just in case maybe new fluid too.

Crux 04-18-2014 08:57 AM

That's what I was thinking. I'd rather be safe than fly off the road.

Plus it's a good excuse to get the 2 pc. rotors from Z1 :yum:...

( Click to show/hide )
except I'd be broke :shakes head:

b1adesofcha0s 04-18-2014 04:12 PM

Anyone on here need an oil cooler for ZDayZ? Should be uninstalling my Z1 34 row oil cooler kit this weekend. MAZOC members will get first shot at buying it. PM me if you're interested.

mults 04-22-2014 09:57 AM

I am cancelling my reservation for our room in the Lodge today if anyone is interested. Something came up, and we have to cancel our trip to ZdayZ this year :crying:.

If you want it, let me know and I can change my name to yours. Of course, you'll have to call to place a deposit on the room.

Huck has a thread up now on here specifically for people looking for rooms and people giving them up.

Pre ZDayZ Service Complete!

So got THAT out of the way - Tires (check), Brakes & Brake Fluid (check), VA State Inspection (Check, good for another year), New Oil (Red Line), & Oil Filter (check) - heck, are we there yet!

VABAM 04-29-2014 06:31 PM

For the NoVA guys;
Who is doing Sunday to Sunday?
Plan on visiting my brother in Reston Friday and Saturday then driving down to ZDayZ on Sunday.
So if anybody wants to caravan down to ZDayZ from NoVA with me on Sunday please let me know.

Z Stig 04-30-2014 01:39 PM

The following MAZOC members have graciously volunteered to assist ZDayZ registration in support of the event. THANKS!!!! This ensures that the MAZOC logo will be on the shirt again this year. We have enough volunteers at this time to run the time slot requested from ZDayZ staff. We will be manning the registration area from 1pm to 6pm on Thursday, May 15th. We will all need to gather in the registration hall area about 12:45 to coordinate the effort. At least we get our volunteering out of the way and can enjoy the rest of the event as participants. If you are planning on attending ZDayZ and would like to volunteer, I’m sure we can still accommodate more volunteers; you just might not get a volunteer t-shirt. If you do think you will want to volunteer to help with any of the events, please let me know and I’ll coordinate with the ZDayZ staff. Hope to see you there!!! :excited:

Current Volunteer List
• Aniceh (Aniceh)
• Sscottfitz (Steve and Deb)
• ZCarMan (Jon and Pat)
• Z Stig (Michael) MAZOC ZDayZ Volunteer coordinator

(I also posted this in the ZDAYZ volunteer thread in MAZOC)

diego@vossen 04-30-2014 01:46 PM

See you there :)

MAZOC ZDayZ 2014 - Pre-Departure Planning

So I've started to load the MAZOC ZDayZ Mule (my truck) - Jon & Pat brought some stuff over Saturday.

Plan this week is to make a Grocery Store Run so a lot of the things we normally pick up in Bryson City we can get in advance and really minimize the stop on Sunday afternoon at the local grocery store - mostly I think just replenishing the coolers with ice and whatever I forgot to procure prior to Sunday's departure...

So for Michael & Aniceh, if you want me to "Mule It", pls bring it to Sat's FFX meet or for Aniceh (if you aren't at the Sat meet), you can bring it Sunday morning and we'll load it up prior to departure - I think Jon & Pat are bringing some late add stuff Sunday morning as well.

I'm not going "extravagant" on our groceries - mostly "plan ol stuff" that I can identity with - hamburger meat, hot dogs, buns, chips, condiments, solo cups, plasic-ware, etc. Jon & Pat are bringing grill & charcoal stuffs so I think we have most of the basics covered.

I'll be monitoring the forum this week so if you have some additional thoughts shoot me a comment to this discussion topic or shoot me a PM - either will work.

Hope you all have a great week and we are looking forward to ZDayZ 2014!

Steve (the older one....)

Z Stig 05-05-2014 10:29 PM

Steve "The Older",

Thanks for being the mule! I'm still wondering if there is going to be a Z behind your truck or a boat for some of the mountain lakes down there. :icon17:

I will buy, and bring it Saturday to FFX, some bug spray, sunscreen, a few cases of water and a bottle of whiskey for general cabin use. Maybe a battery operated lantern as well. I'll bring in a few chairs for the cabin as well. I'll throw in some money for mule "feed" as well. Thanks again for being willing to drive stuff down for us!

Anybody getting to Fontana prior to Wednesday, please feel free to PM me (or call me if you get reception) if you need me to bring anything after you get to Fontana and I can pick it up on my way down on Wednesday.

ZDayz 2014!!!

ZCarMan 05-06-2014 06:58 PM

I have a box of Costco Plasticware Steve so no need to purchase those. Maybe some paper plates though. Pat and I will be in FFX this Saturday so we'll bring the grill and other items to transfer to the beast. Mike (VABAM) will be there as well so we can meet and firm up our route down as well.

ZCarMan 05-06-2014 07:19 PM

Oh yeah, Citronella Candles. Bring them with you as they are worth their weight in gold against the little winged thingies.
