I'm good for a late lunch/early dinner.

Z Stig 04-25-2013 06:41 PM

I'm good for whatever place the group decides on for food.

m4a1mustang 04-25-2013 09:01 PM

Butcher Station sounds good to me. UJ too.

Yeah that's what I was expecting. What time are you guys expecting to leave for dinner?

b1adesofcha0s 04-25-2013 09:49 PM

Looks like my last session will finish at 4:25 PM on Saturday.

I think our karting session is over at 2:30. Not sure what time we would roll out.

MightyBobo 04-25-2013 11:26 PM

Alright, so what time are we supposed to actually get to the track, then? 11 still, to get time to check in and whatnot?

Karting ends at 2:30PM so I suspect we'll head out around 3PM and arrive to which ever establishment around 3:30PM.

Yes, I recommend that folks plan to arrive by 11AM, that gives you leeway in case you get caught in traffic/construction/lost/etc.

ZCarMan 04-26-2013 06:17 AM

8 people have indicated they want to go for lunch/early dinner. Most so far have indicated that The Butcher Station is their preference with a couple being neutral. Based upon that I'm going to give The Butcher Station a call today at noonish to reserve some table space for 10. If others would like to join us, please let me know by posting on here asap so I can get an accurate head count for the reservation. Thanks!

StangerGT 04-26-2013 07:48 AM

Tony (audi guy)
Donovan (Corvette guy for those who know em)
Knapp (a friend)

XwChriswX 04-26-2013 07:49 AM

How many people can the track accommodate in one race?

Masa 04-26-2013 07:49 AM

So it will be me and my friend Kenny down for the Butcher Station.
I will also have 1 co-worker coming for Karting but I will have to double check to see if they will be joining us for food and beers.

I was told if we had more than 25 to let them know. I think was in order for them to be able to bring in more karts. I already contacted the POC there and told him that we have 20 firm attending.

Thanks Ron, that makes ten confirmed for The Butcher Station.

No problem! Thanks for letting me know. I'll pass that we now have 23 confirmed for Karting.

Does that mean we'll all race as one large group? Or do they have multiple tracks that way we don't get too crowded?

Is it place finishing, or who has fastest lap times? (I've never been to this place before, sorry for the silly (duh) questions.)

I don't know if you have me down as "confirmed" but I'm good wherever. Nothing better after a drive than sitting down and talking about it. :icon17:

XwChriswX 04-26-2013 08:09 AM

We should also check in to make sure they don't have a "You must be no taller than XX" to ride". We wouldn't want amazon woman Jay to be left out...

chieuxuan 04-26-2013 08:12 AM

Jon, please take my uncle off the list, thanks

ZCarMan 04-26-2013 08:13 AM

Chris,

they can race groups up to 50. We are racing a GP 4 setup. Please refer to the first page of the thread for the details.

XwChriswX 04-26-2013 08:13 AM

Oh, and a booster seat for Aniceh.

If Chris (Draco) can fit in the kart (he was in the group when I ran before), Jay will have no problem.

ZCarMan 04-26-2013 08:20 AM

FYI, I just talked to the POC at Summit Point. He says that our MAZOC group only will be on the track. However, we will alternate heats with the other "Arrive and Drive" people who are just showing up to kart on their own. Hope that is informative to everyone.

I wonder if they'll let us (if we wanna do back to back) jump in with them?

I'm sure they would if you pay for it. :)

Well isn't that what we're paying for? 2 1/2 hours of racing time? I'd really rather not waste it sitting down if I don't have to?

StangerGT 04-26-2013 08:30 AM

ermm.... so my friends GF is now in...

Knapp +1

We are paying for the GP4 package, which is a series of heat races with breaks in between.

During those breaks, the track opens up to arrive & drive folks.

If you want to drive during the breaks, you'd have to pay for that separately, since we're only paying for the GP4 package. :)

They alternate the groups. I don't believe you'll be able to just "jump in" and drive in the other group. It goes by fast anyhow.

Ah, damn. :(

Thanks for info-gathering and coordinating, Jon!

My son is in for lunch/dinner as well, seeing as how it will be his favorite meal (i.e., one that mom pays for). :p

Okay, so plus one to the three you added this morning, right? Just making sure!

Thanks!

chieuxuan 04-26-2013 08:36 AM

I may join in or lunch/dinner, dunno yet. They can just add a chair to the table

They have a small dining area so having an accurate head count is important for us as well as them.

I'll just add plus one to whatever number we wind up with by today and if you don't go, we'll take it out of your hide at the next meet.
