I don't mind paying for a quality kit that is completely plug and play and contains everything you need.

Definitely not labor intensive. Did the install on my own in the garage. A few hours to install everything including the bypass kit. I used the remote bypass and then programmed the home link buttons to control the bypass functions. Its really a slick setup.

Not denying the potential quality, but this is just the same.


Few hours vs one.


Is that the "factory" cam that comes with tourings/homelink mirrors? Or an aftermarket one with the OEM software?

Its an aftermarket, but its a quality camera.

I like the bypass a lot. Opens up all of the functions while driving and hit the home link button while driving and the camera is on. Useful in heavy traffic.

I could do this as well with my rear view, and HU, if I had the rear view wired to a constant +12v source instead of the reverse lights source.


The Kenwoods are good cams, but expensive.
