Well, we've got a good 3 inches of snow here in Upper Marlboro/Bowie area and its still coming down lightly. Thankfully, this stuff won't be around for too many days, but none the less its extremely frustrating to see this far into spring. Drive safe folks!

m4a1mustang 03-25-2013 09:20 AM

Yep. Very annoying.

For any MAZOC fans that may be interested, I have my stock 19 inch Rays that are powdercoated black, with the Bridgestone RE50As and TPMS included up for sale for $1500 firm. I don't have my truck so you'd need to come pick them up.

A while ago I replaced them with the RE-11s and the TE-37SLs. They've just been sitting in my garage.

Sales@AAMComp 03-25-2013 09:38 AM

Thanks Jon, I'll pass along the info!

Bobo has had issues with having his installed... he needs to block it off when not on the track...

If you dont plan on tracking it, it will only cause headache. Getting something simply becauseracecar, and then not racecaring it... will just cost you money and be an annoyance.

StangerGT 03-25-2013 10:21 AM

its kinda like my suspension... i hate driving it to work... and if i didnt plan on tracking it... i wouldnt have installed it.

So PSS for tires you all say?

m4a1mustang 03-25-2013 10:55 AM

PSS all the way.

IMHO I think you'd be very happy with the PSSs. I would have put them on my Z had it not been for the fact that I do track my Z a couple of times per year and don't daily drive my Z. Plus, I very much like the stickiness of the RE-11s at the cost of lower mileage out of the tires. I think Randy managed to get 8K with his PSS and that was with lots of spirited driving. Your mileage on PSSs would vary accordingly as with any tire dependent upon your driving style.

4r3s 03-25-2013 11:02 AM

any recommended sellers besides tirerack?

4r3s 03-25-2013 11:05 AM

I went with these last time Bridgestone*Potenza S-04 Pole Position

was happy with them, did the job pretty well. the PSS are rated to last a little bit longer and aren't That much more expensive.

Do you have a Costco membership? They go on sale there regularly from time to time and you can get upwards of $100.00 off when they are. Steve and Randy have them as well as Shahid so they should be able to share their sources as well.

Discount Tire Direct also carries PSS.

b1adesofcha0s 03-25-2013 11:44 AM

I ordered mine from Mr. Tire and it ended up being like $100 cheaper than TireRack.

Get that windshield clear bra!

jayl 03-25-2013 12:23 PM

I got Pilot Sport A/S Plus | Michelin Tires from costco.

I only got 2 rear tires.. I have about 500 miles on the tires so far and I like them. I do DD the Z for the most part.. I do not track the Z at all..

@ costco they were 520 ish for the 2 tires on the car with road hazard etc...

I would have liked to move these to the front in after 5k miles and get wider tires for the back but seems costco wont do it..

Masa 03-25-2013 12:23 PM

I don't want to drive to FFX now for fear of getting a cracked windshield on my car.

ZCarMan 03-25-2013 12:26 PM

We have annual safety inspections in VA. Can't pass with a cracked windshield.

StangerGT 03-25-2013 01:09 PM

thats the nice thing about owning a NY vehicle, but never driving it to NY again... haha

Its not actually. Keeps junker cars off the road for the most part. Fewer people in VA are driving around on corded tires than there are in MD.
