ok - for this Saturday i propose that the drunkards leave the FFX meet and head over to Rt 50 - stopping by the excellent BBQ stand near Rt 15 for grub...

then through Aldie an up the dirt road to Chrysalis

ZCarMan 06-20-2013 01:57 PM

I'm good with that. I enjoyed the Norton from Chrysalis. Still have a couple of bottles. Hate that dirt road though.

RandyD 06-20-2013 02:06 PM

the road is tough.. but they recently graded it - so we'll just take it slow :)

dmhenderson 06-20-2013 02:27 PM

Ok so we're leaving from Fairfax then? What time are we leaving for lunch? We will probably be there late (it's a hike from Germantown)

If it's anywhere near as bad as the one at Bluemont Vineyard, then I would recommend that you leave the Nismo at home Mark.

m4a1mustang 06-20-2013 02:56 PM

Bluemont sucks.

So can I navigate this place in my car or not?

m4a1mustang 06-20-2013 03:10 PM

You'll be fine. It's just a dirt road, nothing like off-road terrain or anything (like Bluemont)

That's why I said leave it at home IF it's like Bluemont. Fgt.

Bluemont has great views, food and wine. But yeah, the road in and out of that place sucks bigtime
