She's 5'9" - plenty for the Vulcan. Also, it only weighs about 480 wet. It's one of the lightest cruisers out there, save for a little Honda Rebel or something...

She's gotten on it before, and she can flat foot it with both feet.

You are more of a challenge, and really, you're almost relegated to a smaller sport bike. You can get a low-rise seat, platform shoes, and drop the suspension a little usually.

Yeah, like I totally didn't do my homework on the short bike list before I purchased. I was all over that, man. It was the Rebel, the GZ or a lowered Ninja. That's about all I can handle with my skills (or lack thereof).

5"2', 115 lbs, and not particularly strong these days. I couldn't flat-foot or handle a Hawk, man.

Ninja 250 is a GREAT bike, and doesnt look silly, either. They really have improved how that thing looks.

Also, the seat height on the GZ250 is only 1 inch shorter than my Vulcan :)

They are very sporty looking, but one would need to be lowered for me, and that was outside my abilities and my ex-boyfriend's willingness to do.

Weight was a concern for me as well. The Suzuki is 330 lbs. wet. The only lighter bikes are dual sports, and the seat height for all of those is far beyond what I can currently manage.
