Its a good price too.. Im a little hesitant with motorized faceplates though, I had nice Pioneer AVIC-N2 and I got several years out of it, luckily I had a best buy warranty on it, but they had to fix it a few times. So ideally I'd like to stay away from motorized stuff.. Im definitely in the market for a nice headunit.

I don't listen to CDs so I never use the tilt operation.

I have the AVIC-Z140BH and I like it ok. It has some "issues" but nothing major.
The nav system doesn't play nice with docked iphones - Spotify in particular but the nav system itself is the best I have ever used. Only thing it's missing is an internal hard drive but I'm not sure I'd really want to bother with that anyway.

Ahh, thats smart, and in essence, you should never have a problem.

I can count the number of times I have opened the faceplate on my HU on one hand. Once or twice tops, one was set the splash screen and ecodrive settings and again to hack into the bios to retreive my password that I thought I forgot (but apparently just typo'd 3x).

Oh and for the record, those things are easy as hell to break into if you know what to look for. I retreived my "encrypted" password in about 5 minutes

It's the name of the XM radio station. Plays mostly electronic music of various genres.

Nice and clean setup Steve. I thought about getting a HU for my Z, but the Bose system was good enough for me. Just got a phone mount for nav purposes instead.

I had 1 year of it but I drove the Z so little (weekends) it just did not make too much sense.

aren't there issues when replacing the bose system? As in its doable but more difficult.

I have heard that the Bose system is very difficult to work on but I wouldn't know. I've only ever worked on a base and a nismo - ostensibly the same thing.

There was that issue too. All I really needed was a mount for my phone when I use google maps on it.
