Maybe you can put this theory to the test next Wed. Rumor is, 3-5" are rolling in, with more the day after.

(It's the tires. Get new tires and you'd be fine).

*EDIT* Get the PROPER tires for the season, and you'd be fine.

eastwest2300 01-07-2015 12:10 PM

I was thinking of only having only one vehicle, and investing the money made off the Z... yup, I pondered that for a good portion of the day yesterday.

While we all lament over snow and winter, it is also time to start planning for ZDayZ 2015!

It'll have to be a DD, I'll only have 1 car.. It'll be a tough pill to swallow letting my s2000 go. :icon14:

Alright, kiddies. I finally sucked it up and went to Autobahn Karting yesterday for the 98Rock fundraiser, just to see what it was like. I wont lie, I didn't have high hopes, since the indoor electric joint I went to in Buffalo was tiny and had almost no track width to actually do perform any form of racecraft.

That being said, I think Autobahn has plenty of room in some areas of the track that are perfect to do some racecraft (although not nearly as much as Summit Point, obviously), and I was completely satisfied. Their prices are reasonable, albeit not as good for overall track time as Summit.

I was disappointed I didnt "win" my race (winner is determined by a single fastest lap...which is kinda silly), which was confusing since I was clearly faster overall than everyone out there. But then I looked at the my average lap times, and I was a full second FASTER on average than that guy. So, shocker, being consistent is better than being fast for one lap :-p

The long and short, considering it's a short haul away from our bi-weekly meeting point, I think we are fools for not meeting there more often for a few friendly races, and we need to plan a Saturday to meet up there. Who's with me for the next Saturday meet?

I'll do Karting at Summit Point, but I'm not interested in the Autobahn one.

m4a1mustang 01-17-2015 09:45 PM

Yeah I'd be interested in another Summit outing but I'll be pretty tied down for the next ~3 months or so.

Guys, I can only say I've done both courses
at the Autobahn and they truly are "the bomb"!
They are all that a bag of chips and 12 Snapples
to go! Speed and skill unlimited for sure!:tiphat:

ZDayZ registration is open. If you are attending as a member of MAZOC and would like to help us volunteer to staff an event, please respond to this thread: http://www.the370z.com/mazoc/99972-z...unteering.html

No I've been there before. I didn't really think it was worth the money.

4r3s 01-19-2015 10:47 AM

Rob, I'll go pretty much anytime you want to go. once you have your license, showing up at opening you can usually get a good race or two in before all the slow people get in the way.

You work out there right? Want to meet after work on some days? This is my Happy Hour :-p

4r3s 01-19-2015 03:18 PM

I live in Columbia and work in Laurel so I'm never that far away from the place.

found out my aunt and uncle were in a car accident last night so I might be heading up north to see them this weekend. They are alive but fairly banged up, they're in their upper 70s, broken ribs and hip that I know of so far.

I would be opened to some Autobahn. I live in the Elkridge area so I am not far. I cant do it this Saturday because of the Polar Bear Plunge but any other weekend I will make some time. I have been trying to get free time to make it to the meets but work has been busy up until lately. Sorry!

4r3s 01-20-2015 01:23 PM

Thank you for the kind words everyone

MightyBobo 01-20-2015 01:27 PM

Well I'll be there at 1600 on Thursday. I'll be with some others as well, but if anyone wants to come and get a race or two in, feel free to join!

Pat and I are so sorry to hear of the bad news. Our prayers go out to your aunt and uncle.
