Check craigslist too. Rob found me a ridiculous deal on one from Craigslist.

I just got a 34 row off here a month or so ago cheap.

eastwest2300 03-06-2013 08:18 AM

I'd like to get an oil cooler too, but its definitely not a priority.

They're really nice floormats, though. :p

dmhenderson 03-06-2013 08:48 AM

Yeah I like mine a lot. So much easier to clean than my other mats.

Given how you drive, an oil cooler is just another unnecessary point of failure.

It's really only necessary if you're gonna drive it hard at a track and/or during the hottest parts of summer. Otherwise, just keep your eye on the needle and back off if you approach 250. With gentle driving, the temps will usually even out.

That said, I have a 25-row cooler, and even the most exuberant driving in the middle of summer doesn't peak the needle in the danger area. So, if you want to drive hard, then it's worth the investment. If not, save yourself some cash. :icon17:

fgt, I have the day off for this cold rain.

Want some real snow to go Subie Drifting.

dmhenderson 03-06-2013 09:00 AM

My priorities right now:
-Dual halo rework - I will have a spare set of halos with less than 6 months of usage on them after this is done if anyone is interested in buying them.

-Bumper repaint

-Nismo RC front brake ducts

Hoping to have it all done by May.

The brake ducts will be sick.

I've done a cruise in the summer when it was 100* outside and that's the only time my oil temp has ever hit 250. You really don't need an oil cooler unless you track your car......and by track I mean road course, not drag strip.

Hoping to have the ducts sourced an on order within a week or so. Planning on doing the bumper repaint mid-april so I can just have the ducts installed at the same time.

I was very near 250 degrees at my first Zdayz on the Dragon, and it was mid-high 80's temp-wise.

I'm at 999 likes.

I really hope my 1000th like doesn't come on a really stupid comment like this one.

i've come very close to limp mode at the drag strip last summer. hence my purchase of a 34 row cooler. now i'm nervous that it's gonna leak since there was oil on the sandwich plate last night. i think it was left over from the install. used cooler so there was some oil left in the lines and whatnot.

Haha I rarely scrape unless im going up on really steep driveway. Also I have another car to take out when im going out to dc roads.

dmhenderson 03-06-2013 09:49 AM

The amount of road rash you must scoop up off of the road when you get moving must be ridiculous.

MyKindaGuise 03-06-2013 10:14 AM

I value handling and good ole working travel! Haha

b1adesofcha0s 03-06-2013 11:15 AM

So what exactly are you looking for this time around? Sport pkg Z?

Adjustable coils ftw!!!

m4a1mustang 03-06-2013 11:17 AM

Of course. But forcing the suspension to work in such a small amount of travel... FTL!!!

yeah just like my last one.. pw 6speed sport.. or G37s 6speed.. i was gonna go with the ipl but no white on it unless its a convertable.. i dont want a convert.. so its down to those 2 either G37s or 370z sport.. whichever is a better deal

m4a1mustang 03-06-2013 11:18 AM

And GOOd coils too. None of that stance crap :p. ok I'll stop. :)

IPL, like the Nismo, is just a body kit and exhaust. You can easily add those later. One guy on here did it to his G37 coupe, but I forget what his name was.
