I don't think you'll ever be able to buy that retail.

It's a quest. I'm convinced I will be able to get them somehow but I'll ahve to get lucky. And Cody, I'm looking for functionality as well as the "look". I haven't seen the whole kit but they're supposed to cool your front brakes.

Do you get your brakes hot enough to need to cool them? I.E... do you track?

The engineer is up for the task, now if we can get the bossman involved and give the approval (ie fund the project) then I'll give you details as to what all is involved. Just chatted with the engineer for about 20 minutes about this.

Easier route: have the Nismo RC piece to replicate, or base the drawings off of

However he said drawing/designing from scratch is doable too!

In general I'd love to see AAM get more involved with other aspects of the car other than exhaust/performance parts. I know our engineer is capable of designing and producing other related parts

Neat. Thanks!

I haven't yet but I plan on it at some point. I signed up for autox at the import/kit nationals.

upgraded pads, ss lines, and better brake fluid, great bang for the buck brake upgrades or a good place to start

m4a1mustang 03-21-2013 02:53 PM

Indeed. AutoX pads you want something that works well cold.

You can't go wrong with the z1 34 row (w/ the thermostatic plate). I think it comes to $598? This is what's going on Kevins car in a few days here :)

I highly recommend getting the thermostatic plate upgrade, this way your oil isn't "overcooled" and can get up to optimal operating temps for best lubrication
