I was talking about Sat though. Is there an official "wine tasting" thing going on?

m4a1mustang 06-20-2013 11:09 AM

Not sure about Saturday. Seems like there are going to be two lunch groups.

Group 1. People going to Columbia for the Man of Steel viewing
Group 2. Drunkards.

dmhenderson 06-20-2013 11:11 AM

Let me talk to the girlfriend but I think "drunkards" might work out ok for us if she wants to go.

:rofl2:

I gotta jet after the meet and head over to my parents house. For those NOT going to Columbia and before heading to wine country, would anyone want to grab a bite to eat at Todai or another venue?

Damn, a third group.

I'd be willing to do Todai. It would work for the Columbia folk if we went there right when they open (11:30.)

Masa 06-20-2013 11:19 AM

Mmmmm Todai.

dmhenderson 06-20-2013 11:20 AM

Just let me know I guess.

Werks 4 me

m4a1mustang 06-20-2013 11:21 AM

I guess we'll iron things out while at the meet. If we leave Todai by 12:45 we should make it to Columbia before 2:30. :)

dmhenderson 06-20-2013 11:24 AM

So wait is Todai the Superman group or the wine tasting group?

You must come to the meet in order to find out what is in it.

Hey now! I prefer to be known as an "Alcohol Content Validation Board Member". :tiphat:

I have to admit to a certain amount of sadness in that you are going to Todai. Somehow I don't believe Todai and wine would mix well for me though. :barf:

Cristobal09 06-20-2013 11:37 AM

Unfortunately I wont be doing Todai this time around.

Would work with me but not if I'm dragging the girlfriend to Fairfax. Will need to know what we're doing and when.

Well im going back hardcore on my diet. Gained a few pounds from a few months ago so I have to lose it again. Todai isnt exactly the best place to go while on a diet. :)

eastwest2300 06-20-2013 12:01 PM

Smart man...

Actually is a fantastic place to go on a diet so long as you stay away from the fried stuff. I understand though.

ok - for this Saturday i propose that the drunkards leave the FFX meet and head over to Rt 50 - stopping by the excellent BBQ stand near Rt 15 for grub...

then through Aldie an up the dirt road to Chrysalis

ZCarMan 06-20-2013 01:57 PM

I'm good with that. I enjoyed the Norton from Chrysalis. Still have a couple of bottles. Hate that dirt road though.

RandyD 06-20-2013 02:06 PM

the road is tough.. but they recently graded it - so we'll just take it slow :)

dmhenderson 06-20-2013 02:27 PM

Ok so we're leaving from Fairfax then? What time are we leaving for lunch? We will probably be there late (it's a hike from Germantown)

b1adesofcha0s 06-20-2013 02:55 PM

If it's anywhere near as bad as the one at Bluemont Vineyard, then I would recommend that you leave the Nismo at home Mark.

m4a1mustang 06-20-2013 02:56 PM

Bluemont sucks.

So can I navigate this place in my car or not?

m4a1mustang 06-20-2013 03:10 PM

You'll be fine. It's just a dirt road, nothing like off-road terrain or anything (like Bluemont)

b1adesofcha0s 06-20-2013 03:19 PM

That's why I said leave it at home IF it's like Bluemont. Fgt.

Bluemont has great views, food and wine. But yeah, the road in and out of that place sucks bigtime

RandyD 06-20-2013 03:31 PM

it's better than that road we took on last years GTR cruize.. for those who remember :)

dmhenderson 06-20-2013 03:39 PM

Ok sounds good. So if we get to fairfax by 11 we should be ok right?
