I used to have a Remington 870. Great shotgun for reliability and adaptability. Sold it to a neighbor for their home defense weapon after I got the KelTec KSG tactical shotgun. The KSG gets a lot of attention at the range, especially when I load 15 rounds of 12ga slugs and unload them on the paper. Massive carnage and sounds like it is never going to end. BTW, I am a member at Silver Eagle Group in Ashburn, VA and shoot there frequently. Great range. 20 lanes of 25yd and 10 lanes of 50 yd. Clean and well ventilated. Shotguns can only fire slugs though. I guess they dont want buck/bird shot bouncing around for some strange reason. Stay safe! |

Dude, Im embarrassed, I've had my weapons for a couple years now, and havent shot them.. hehehe  How much does it cost to shoot at your range? and Im guessing you cant shoot AR-15s. |
Where are you guys finding slug ammo? I havent found anything on slickguns.com yet, save the .410 **** for the Judge.

This policy worked great when I was deciding between the Glock 30 and 30SF. I was able to shoot 25 rounds in one, grab the other and shoot 25 rounds through that. I made the decision for the 30, and it only cost me about $35 to figure that out. I was leaning toward the 30SF until I shot them, so if I would have not been able to fire them first, then I might have bought the "wrong" (if there is such a thing :icon17:) Glock. Anyone can PM me if they are interested in meeting out there. |

See cost structure for my range below. Copied from a post of mine to Randy. YES, you can shoot an AR, no problem as long as it is controlled fire. I've shot my .308 there, even on the shorter range. I think they even allow .50 BMG on the longer range, but you would want to check before you cut loose with one of those. Copied: It is $25 an hour for the first shooter and $15 for the second and third shooter sharing a lane. Maximum of three shooters per lane. If you arrange to go with a member, then it is $15 for you as a second shooter on the same lane. If they are not busy, members and their guests are allowed liberal clock monitoring. I have spent over 2 hours on a lane and they only charged my guest for 1 hour. Good group of guys and most of them know weapons. They also have handguns (probably over 50) and rifles (10 or so) available to rent for $15 an hour, and you can exchange them for another weapon within that hour for no additional charge. The only stipulation is that you purchase and shoot only their ammo through their guns. This policy worked great when I was deciding between the Glock 30 and 30SF. I guess I better not even bring my KSG into Maryland then. Am I the only one that thinks it is ironic that Maryland has the audacity to call itself the "Freestate" when it has so many "interesting" laws? |

Yeah I'm never going to a range in MD.

I would shoot if I wasn't in ammo conservation mode.

I'm thinking we could probably get a least a half dozen if not more people to come after a meet one day to spend an hour or so at the range. Heck, I might even be able to get my Wife to shoot! |

I get it. Range rule versus law... I saw a guy on an outdoor range shoot from the hip with a pistol grip and the front of his barrel took out two of his teeth. Learned his lesson I think.

People are dumb, sadly. Personally, I see no need for a pistol grip on my 870, but that's me. |
It's cool... but I feel like it's more versatile with a standard stock.
This is mine in tacticool loadout https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-6...1024/870_1.jpg Might go back to the OEM stock, though. But then it won't fit in my case. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-8.../contents2.jpg |
